Do they have witch doctors in Florida? Dr. Kreifels seems like one. And she chisels people, charging them for more than their co-pays and then resisting reimbursement of money owed to the patient. If there is a petty chisel game to play, she plays it.

My insurance company listed this doctor as "a preferred doctor" so I trusted them. I read the reviews and read between the lines on both the good and bad reviews, here and elsewhere. I was shocked that there were vastly more negative than positive reviews, but I thought I would make up my own mind. I had new insurance and was unfamiliar with the exact co-pays, but every other doctor's office I have been to in the last three years were, "online" with the insurance companies to check co-pays, pre-auths, etc. Not these guys. Anyway, the receptionist tells me that my copay is $25.00. I was unsure, but thought it was $0.00 for primary care and $15 for specialist. Anyway, I pay, thinking I can get refunded if it is a mistake. Sure enough, it was a mistake. Anyhow, during the exam, I am asked all of these questions about personal life and her thoughts about the Republican Primary and what shoes to wear and how to lose weight. No vitals, labs, etc. Then she finds out my rheumatologist (who i was to see in two weeks) and does a referral. Excuse me? I am already established there. At this time she was nice enough. When I got home, I got the email receipt for my co-pay, and they charged me MORE than I agreed to. They charged me more than I signed for. I also checked my policy and, sure enough, I had $0.00 co-pay. So i called the doctor office back and the receptionist said, "fine. I'll tell the doctor." I waited a week and filed complaints with the BBB (she's not a member) and with the Insurance Commissioner. Time is up, so I went to see if she would refund my money, today. She told me, "leave my office." I asked her, "Where is my money. You don't have a right to this unentitled co-pay." She shut the window, yelled at me to, "leave my office." I turned around and told the room full of patients, 'you have been warned.' Now, I am going to the bank and turning in my proof of credit card fraud for a charge-back. Trust the negative reviews, there is truth, in them, somewhere.
