Dr. Schoenberg is head and tails above all ENT's, and raises the bar on multiple levels. Believe me, as I tell you the past 35+ years of having breathing issues has been "no picnic", in the least bit, with me.
I totally say it straight like it is via the complete facts, and as noted too, from my multiple reviews, and on multiple sites, to ensure others can take note, of providers and services, which deserve to be highlighted, for all the proper reasons, backed by accurate facts, from a real person, who enjoys giving positive credit, where it is rightfully deserved. Therefore, it is both my pleasure and my 100% personal choice, unprompted, nor asked in any way, to write this detailed review.
Dr. Schoenberg is just plain awesome!!! From the moment I first came to visit him, at his Office in Sanford, in July, 2020, and upon meeting him and discovering his honesty, and fact finding, prior to jumping into the surgery route, he put me at total ease from day 1.
Upon further testing and examination, It was determined that I could benefit from nasal repair, to address my breathing issues, due to a tissue collapse, from prior nose surgery, which was also most visible in my appearance, and especially on the left side of my nose, which was indented.
So, I took the leap for nose surgery # 3, to have things finally and totally corrected, and must say that Dr. Schoenberg, his knowledge, skill, professionalism, including Bredie, and the entire Nurse and Anesthesia Team, under Dr. Wen, were absolutely superb.
Naturally, as I'm recovering and still less than 24 hours out of surgery, I can feel some pain and swelling since the anesthesia has worn off, however I am following all protocols, and already can tell that I can once again breathe, as my airways are all finally opening back up, as I recover.
I truly appreciate that Doc has the human touch, and even took the time, during his surgery breaks, since July, 2020, to fully address my questions, and to go above and beyond to help me, when necessary, as I was dealing with my insurance, making sure, in turn , that I would not receive any unexpected bills and or unanticipated surprises. Now, what Doctor anymore takes the time to always go over and above for his patients, like Dr. Schoenberg does? Believe me when I say that I am most grateful to be his patient.
My previous ENT and his partner had suggested cutting the hyoid bone in my neck, and repositioning things in my neck area, of which I immediately refused to take any part of. As a long time apnea sufferer on CPAP, and now APAP, I did not want to add "more insult to injury."
Further, while my problems worsened, my weight unfortunately spiraled out of control, affecting my ability to be the 8-9 mile daily runner, which I once was. Now that I can breathe again, I look forward to the journey of great health, ahead, and thanks to Dr. Schoenberg, I am confident things will only keep improving.
Thankfully, Dr. Schoenberg explained everything he proposed, in great detail, along with continuously stating that he was not scissor happy, nor eager to do any unnecessary surgery, as to ensure that we both are always on the same page, without me feeling pressured.
This truly put me at ease and kept down my anxiety levels, which I actually finally felt refreshed, upon meeting Dr. Schoenberg, as he knows his stuff, yet in no way is arrogant nor boisterous. In fact, Dr. Schoenberg is the most humble and down to earth Medical Professional, who focuses his multi years experience on getting the best possible outcome for his patients, versus focusing on quick and or unnecessary revenues, as the rest often do. By having such positive feedback, from his multiple patients, I must say that I am most elated in finally having found Dr. Schoenberg.
Dr. Schoenberg had me fully tested, to rule out allergies affecting my breathing, as not to recommend unnecessary surgery. His numerous great results, for his patients say it all.
