We visited Doctor Frantsvog after receiving references from members of my networking group. I booked appointments for both me and my 13 yr old son.

I was advised the doctor was operating from his home office during the time while their permanent office was being completed (the new location is opening next month, I believe). As a supporter of local business, I found this to be acceptable.

The level of professionalism and service we received was exceptional. I was pleased with the new technology which did not require shots of air to my eyes (it's the small things!). Also, this was my sons first experience with contact lenses. Their patience with him while he learned this new process was comforting.

Additionally, their willingness to accommodate our schedule was much appreciated and the prices very reasonable.

We look forward to the grand opening of their office grand opening and continuing our eye care with "Doc".

The best review is from my 13yr old son. As he said when we left our visit "They are very nice people.".

I hadn't seen an eye doctor in awhile so I was pleased to be able to get in to Dr. Frantsvog right away. When the receptionist told me that the doctor treated patients in his home, I was a little surprised, but I figured it would be fine. I got to his home and aside from a small sign in the front window, had no other indication that it was a place of business. Walking into the front room, it looked like most eye doctor offices except that you could see into their living area beyond the glasses displays. As I waited for the doctor, I noticed that things weren't very clean. I'm not super picky about things being spotless, but there were dirty smudges on tablecloths and so on. Then, when the doctor had me go into his exam room (which was basically the den of the home), I saw that the room was full of stacks of papers and books and basically looked like a very messy home office with a few optometrist machines scattered through the mess. The doctor gave me a contact case to take my contacts out and I was surprised that he expected me to take my contacts out without washing my hands (which I never do)! I asked him if there was a sink where I could wash my hands and he brought me back to a family bathroom where the only place to dry my hands was the family's bathroom towels-- no paper towels! I'm sorry, to me that's just not sanitary. Who knows who else dried their hands on those towels? Also, and maybe this is just me, but it looked like the contact cases were reused, which is just disgusting, I don't care how well you wash it. The case just looked old and scratched up and I noticed the receptionist took the case back and set it on a shelf nearby, instead of throwing it away in the trash can that was right there. It was just a weird experience and not professional at all. I did not feel like my eye care was in good hands and will never go see them again. I don't usually do reviews but I felt like people should be aware of what it's like there. I looked for reviews before I went and didn't see any so I'm putting this out there.
