This is a local day-shelter with activities all week long but on Friday The Wishing Well becomes a local food bank for people in the community that regularly visit a therapist or psychiatrist at MHCD. The catch is that you must be an MHCD MEMBER to use this facility with ID to prove your eligibility. They offer a lot of decent produce & other goodies to the attendees.

The staff is so unprofessional, self serving and couldn't give a damn about the vulnerable people the staff is paid to assist...someone nearly dies there and not one staff member helped. They are not good people, uncaring and every one of the staff members should be replaced along with lacey peterson...patient advocate she clearly is not!!!

This Wishing Well in Denver doesnt even deserve the one star its so horrible because of the staff and the staff members, alone!

NO STARS!!!! I believe that the real staff, not the paid consumers, steal a majority of the items that are donated and meant specifically for the consumers. All, not most, of the nice furniture that hits the floor have a ,"On Hold" sign placed on it by the "Supervisor", signifying that it can not be taken by a consumer in need of that item, it is basically off limits, and when you question why all the nice items have this sign, the consumer is told that its being held for one of the various group homes, but theses items seem to never make it to these places. Wishing well used to be one of the biggest blessing for a consumer, especially around Christmas, but it's laughable at best now. During the Christmas giveaway, your luck to get 1 new item, but surely you will end up rushed through the line to find you have gotten a bunch of broken junk that YOU didn't even pick out! SHAME ON U, STAFF AT THE WISHING WELL!# *From the Heart of A once upon a time 7 year happy consumer, to an frustrated, hurt, currently by choice, ex-client! And I will choose to stay that way until an investigation is done, and some honest, QUALIFIED , trust worthy staff are brought in who care about the people and their job, are brought in to replace the scum they have there now. THANKS FOR READING!!
