One of the best vets around hands down. If she can not find out what is wrong, she does not stop until she finds the answer. Amanda has doctored our three indoor cats for several years and her love of animals is very apparent with her care and treatment. She took care of our Maggie when Maggie was terminal with cancer and Amanda went above and beyond in making sure that Maggie was well cared for and not suffering in any way.

Our little cat Maggie started getting sick with congestion and breathing problems very shortly after relocating to Savannah from Columbia S.C. We took her to two other vets (who did no lab work what so ever) and she seemed to keep getting worse. We finally took her to Dr. Welch who immediately ran lab and blood work ups. She found that Maggie had asthma and placed her on strong antibiotics and steroid shots. One night around 10:30 p.m. Maggie had a severe asthma attack and we could not use an inhaler due to it terrifying Maggie and making matters worse. We called Richmond Hills and Dr. Welch called us back with in minutes. We met her at the hospital and she worked on Maggie until around midnight finally, sending us all home and Maggie feeling much better. Dr. Welch calls from time to time to check on Maggie and us. I could not ask for a better doctor OR caring person than Dr. Welch and the staff at Richmond Hills. They may not have fancy decorated offices or be high tech but, their hearts and dedication to their patients and the patients family is over whelming and genuine.

Please review Georgia Law related to a vet carelessly allowing your pet to die. Georgia Law will only give you the "current" value of the dog - for example, a 7 y/o Beagle might be worth $50.... In other words, vets in Ga don't have to be as responsible as medical doctors. In particular, don't truth Richmond Hill Animal Hospital - I took my dog there - he was running around happy one day- I left him in thier care - when picked him up THEY SAID HE'D BE FINE.... "HE DIED SOON AFTER WE LEFT"... Dr. Welch Tried to be helpful afterwards, but I'm sure someone made a mistake... {No - they did not refund all of my money ... and no, I did not get anything to help replace the dog/friend I lost}
