Dr. Essex is a no-nonsense kind of guy. He'll get straight to the point and tell you what you should do and shouldn't do. He'll also make you feel like an old friend and talk to you like he's known you his whole life. He's a gem of a human being. Rare amongst the rare. Highly recommended and affordable.

Dr. Dean, Is more than competent, he took our sickly Lab/Greyhound dog and treated her with so much expertise and care; And taught us how to care for her.
No words can really express our gratitude for the good years that were added to Shadow's life by this great man and his knowledge and compassion.

Dr. Essex has seen my girlfriend's Pitbull many times over the years. Dr. Essex hands down, is one of the kindest vets in our area! He is knowledgable, down to earth and doesn't charge ridiculous prices for his work! The dog has ear issues and Dr. Essex diagnosed his problem practically before we got out of the car! He didn't need a lengthy exam to figure out that he had an ear infection! We were there less than 10 minutes, explained the treatment, gave us the medication and we were out the door! Just be on time and you won't have to wait! He is the epitome of a country vet and we will be seeing him soon because one of our cats has a tapeworm! Can't wait to see him again!

Doc Essex is straight and to the point. I have been going to him for 8 yrs now. He always was gentle with my dogs threw out the years. Love your work Dean. See you again i'm sure! :)

I love how old fashioned Dean is. I was always able to get in that day. Conducts business right on the farm. The prices are fantastic! I hope he stays in business forever.
