Country Vet in Rubicon is our vet of choice. We have lived in Southeastern WI for over ten years and have had a menagerie of animals. Dr. Triick is one of the best vets I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He is prompt, thorough, professional, and cost effective. Some find him abrupt and chilly but if you take time to know the guy, he's a real marshmallow and has a great sense of humor. He simply doesn't fuss anymore than he has to, which in reality is better for your animals. Trust me; I've had vets that fawn and fuss and it just gets your pets wound up worse.

As with all pet ownership comes the need to face death. I had to put down my 27y/o Arabian mare in 2006. After multiple EMERGENCY calls to another local vet (and a span of over 3 hours during which my mare was down), I called Dr. Triick in desperation. Although he was already on a different emergency call, he was at our farm within 45minutes. He was quick, gentle, and respectful. It is the easiest I've ever seen a horse go, and those who've lost their equine pals know that it can be pretty rough.

That was our first time having Dr. Triick out and we've not turned back since. He's seen everybody at all stages of life. We've never had a problem with infection after surgery like we have had with other vets and as I said earlier, his emergency response is without equal. Dr. Triick is even willing to travel. We moved from Richfield to Adell (which is considerably further) and although he requested that we schedule for a day when he was already in the area, he was willing to drive all the way to Random Lake to give our horses their yearlies.

Country Vet is the way to go. Seriously.
