My mother has been abusing benzos and opiates for about 30 years so we took her to Wekiva Springs Center because we thought it looked like a nice place. They abruptly took her off meds in a week which can be very dangerous. She ended up falling so they sent her to st vincents to be checked out. When she was released from St vincents we tried to get her back into Wekiva and they said she didn't meet protocol to be readmitted when she she was clearly having post acute withdrawals. So they sent her home with extremely high blood pressure and major withdrawals which caused her to have a seizure and fall and now has some bleeding on the brain from the fall. Now we are worse ofl than when we had her admitted into Wekiva. And staff always sounded Pissed off when we would call about our mother. Very expensive place for that kind of additude.
