I went to see kathy vorheees at therapeutic colaborative for anxiety problems and hoping that she could help me deal with all the overwhelming problems going on in my life. My first visit felt more like a interogation and all she did was constantly accuse me of being a alcoholic because of a few past problems with alcohol which I DO NOT have a alcohol problem anymore but this is all kathy would focus on. I insisted I do not have a alcohol problem anymore and I have not drank for months and she called me a liar and said that's bullshit. How unprofessional to call your patient a liar and curse at them? Needless to say I stopped seeing kathy after my second visit where we acomplished nothing but arguing in her office for our 45 minute session. Please heed my advise and do not select kathy for any sort of councleing. She is a very unpleasant person. You have been warned!

My child has been seeing Cathy Voorhees for about 6 months dealing with abuse issues. She has been very inconsistent with her recommendations, care and what she is telling me to do at home. She has even advised me to violate a court order. It takes numerous phone calls and weeks to get feedback and to schedule follow up appointments. Her attitude is inconsiderate, and confusing. The first sign of issues was on our first visit she had requested to keep all of my legal paperwork so she could make copies, but when we returned for a second visit she had no idea what I was talking about. Then she had requested little to no contact with the other parent, but a few sessions later is acting like I have done something wrong for not involving them more. Her letters to the court appointed representation have been very difficult to interpret. It's very hard to get a straight professional opinion from her because of all the inconsistencies with her care and recommendations. It's been a hard time for everyone involved and she has not been able to shed light on anything. I feel like I never know what to expect from her, one month she seems very supportive, then another she's telling me that everything I have done is wrong. She interrupted me when I was sharing my concerns with her about ongoing abuse and said she didn't want to discuss these things with my child. Not sure if she is really looking out for the best interest of the patient, or just can't handle her work load. If you do see her I would suggest taking notes or recoding what she says, just in case she forgets what she is telling you, it seems to happen a lot.

While Dr. Epply is a phenomenal doctor, and the best psychiatrist I've ever had, his therapists are absolutely terrible. I was seeing Kathy Voorhees in particular, and she was not only a horrible therapist, but a generally selfish and mean, terrible person. She constantly interrupted me during sessions and phone calls, she blatantly blamed me for everything I brought up during sessions and phone calls, and she even had my file closed without my knowledge or consent. When I called her to discuss it, she wouldn't let me speak, she raised her voice at me, blamed me entirely, and said she wouldn't help me. She doesn't take the condition of her mental health patients into consideration, she is selfish and only worried about making her money. She doesn't care about her patients. Dr. Epply is great, but to see him, you must see one of his therapists, and they aren't good at what they do. If you insist on going to their office, do NOT go to Kathy Voorhees. It's a waste of money and she will not help you.

This place, in particular Kim Wolfe was the worst experience ever in my life. Court appointed, I had to pay thousands out of pocket for an evaluation of my children for custody dispute that had been illegally obtained (kidnapping) by an ex. At first representing to be fair and unbiased I agreed to use this place. Instead Kim Wolfe clearly did not care about my children, their best interests, nor me. She was simply loyal to her political allies (lawyers) and concerned about getting her thousands in payments. The end result was that the ex got custody of the children due to Kim Wolfe's corruption and/or incompetence. As a result my children where left in a trailer in another state out in the middle of nowhere without parental supervision since the ex was only home while they were in school - if they went to school. My son had straight A's in school until this happened. His grades slid off a cliff and he often would just not get up missing the bus and no one cared. He wound up having to get a GED for High School. It set him back 10 years in his life. This due to the corrupt Kim Wolfe. Very bad - if she is still there - STAY THE HELL AWAY! If it's court ordered, ask them for another place immediately!!! Never met the Psychiatrist that seems to be the principal physician there today, so have no opinion to provide. My experience and the devastation to my children's lives is purely from the Kim Wolfe / Assessment side of things. So I would not trust them to be unbiased and caring in anything related to psychological evaluations, assessments or court ordered related matters. And yes, we had been in another court and other similar evaluations previously in another state and it was much more caring and intelligent about my children, and FAR LESS GREED DRIVEN and without Kim Wolfe's type of CORRUPTION. So there was something to compare it to. If she is still there or has anything to do with the place, I urge you to stay away.

They needed to pay a little more attention to detail, to make sure they didn't make any mistakes. I could tell their entire attention wasn't focused on me. I'm usually somewhat sensitive to the cold, so I was a little worried that their office would be too cold, but it was fine. I was very comfortable the entire time. Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcome there. They didn't tell me anything about my treatment options. I left feeling very confused and frustrated. I was treated terribly. I'm absolutely positive that I would have gotten better service anywhere else.
