My husband and I have been to several counselors during our 11 years of marriage. It has always been difficult to find a good fit because both of us are so experienced in psycho-babble. Paul, however, was very refreshing. I got the sense that his years of experience as a counselor put him at ease with our tension. I often tend to "take over" a counseling session, but Paul managed to direct our sessions so that both of us felt heard. We were referred to him by friends who reported him to be "very good with men" and "good with issues of depression." He was both. His insights into faith were also encouraging, as was his gentle sense of humor.
