I have seen Susan Kunkel for roughly 14 years. She has helped me through several difficult situations and experiences in my life. She listens and provides sound advice. But most importantly she doesn't tell you what to do. Rather she helps you to talk and think through the issues you are facing so that you can identify how best to address them. She is positive and solution focused. She is kind and caring. I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a therapist. I left the first therapist I was seeing due to concerns I had with that person's technique and approach. I met with and interviewed three different therapists, Susan Kunkel was one of the three, and chose Susan Kunkel because I felt she had the best skills and technique.

I have been seeing Susan Kunkel for 3+ years now and could not be more satisfied with her as my therapist. From my initial call to her office and our brief conversation, I knew that I had connected with the right mental health care professional. She was patient and considerate and made me feel comfortable right away. Susan hears what you're saying and even knows what you're trying to say when the words can't come out. Her interpretation of what you're saying and her advisement are right on the money. I leave every session knowing more about myself and how to handle what's inside my head and I've never been able to figure any of that out on my own. Through my sessions and Susan's guidance, I have discovered things from my past that I probably would never have known....and in working through all of this....I'm starting to know myself better and feel more empowered than I ever have. I can only thank her for helping me through all of this. I know that I am being heard and Susan's feedback and guidance is so invaluable to me. I have already recommended her to family and friends and would always provide her information to anyone looking for a therapist that they can trust and feel comfortable with. I hope that this review will help someone seeking therapy to make the decision to call Susan Kunkel. They will have made the best move....

I have been meeting with Susan for a few years. My sessions have been positive and hin difficult in difficult times. I would highly recommend her, and have too many friends. During times of difficult times, she has always found time in her schedule to meet with me. She has much experience, knowledge, and insight to help guide you in any situation. I never had one bad experience and can only give positime feedback for her services. I am thankful to have been connected with her.

I have been seeing Susan for therapy on and off for the last 13 years. She has helped me through some very difficult times in my life and I highly recommend her. She is very warm and inviting, making it easier to talk about difficult/painful subject matters. I have never felt any judgement whatsoever, and truly believe she cares for the well-being of her clients. She is very knowledgeable and has been able to provide valuable insight no matter what my issues have been. She is a very good listener with an excellent memory and I have never had to remind her of something that was said in a previous session. She has very flexible hours and answers all messages promptly. Again, I think she is a true gem and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

I would not recommend her. She did not listen to a word I said and focused on irrelevant details.

They have some of the worst prices I've ever seen. I couldn't believe how much I ended up having to pay. I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed. It seemed suspicious that they didn't display their credentials anywhere. If they have credentials, they should make them more obvious. They weren't able to answer a single one of my questions, and seemed like they wanted the appointment to be over as soon as possible. She will not help you only hurt you.Your better off finding a real Psychologist not a social worker..She feeds on the weak .I can give many examples, all i will say is find someone else to seek help with

after one visit, i was so put off by this provider i decided not to continue. her speech patterns were so patronizing and slow, it seemed like she was talking to a three year old. at first it was mildly irritating and by the end of the visit, it was insulting. in her initial evaluation, she ignored what i said, and honed in on irrelevant details, steering the conversation toward issues that didn't really exist, to justify needing more comprehensive care than i was there for. example, when i didn't recall two irrelevant details about my life she said, "how long have you had this problem with your memory?" i have no memory problem, i just didn't recall what she was asking. stuff like that. the memory thing wasn't the only leading question, but it's the one i .... heh... remember about my visit. this woman's business can only exist by people searching for long term treatment for serious problems, so she has a vested interest in leading you to believe that what you experience is serious and problematic, even if you don't think it is. like when you go get your brakes inspected in your car, if the inspector makes his/her living replacing brakes then you need brakes, and driving like that is dangerous. i've been to other counselors, it's important to find the right fit. i've never experienced someone so absent, so inattentive, so unconcerned with what was actually being said than this person. and when i called to cancel subsequent visits and got her voice mail, i never heard from her again.
