I would NOT recommend this provider. After reviewing his history I am sad I wasted my money for his unprofessional diagnosis. Do not waste your money

I found him very unprofessional. I actually had his past researched and found some questionable things he has done . He bases his findings on very weak, very insubstantial evidence. The lawyer I had investigate him, stated, that he must give the institutions that hire him, a discount, because of the things she found in his record.

I was assessed by Anchor twice in screenings to carry a firearm for state employment and was dismissed both times. When I called and talked to him about it afterwards, he would not give me a straight answer as to why I was dismissed. He gave me the impression that he was reciting a rehearsed statement on the two separate occasions when I spoke to him. He seemed completely incapable of giving straight answers and seemed annoyed and uncomfortable when I asked questions or made comments that forced him to stray from what seemed to be a script.

Just some more information that I thought those who are seeking help from this organization and any mental health organization should know. Especially for those who have been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar and other mental health disorders. First before going to a shrink or psychiatrist you should read these books and articles for your personal benefit. Reasons why are explained with each book or article.

1. National Geographic (February 2014 edition, The New Science of the Brain): This is an important article for anyone diagnosed with "deginerative brain diseases" such as bipolar and schizophrenia and are on prescription drugs. This article basically states that with the most modern scientific brain imaging equipment today medical "experts" still cannot determine the difference between a brain with schizophrenia and a "normal brain." How can their be no observable difference if that is the first thing patients are told before they are put on dangerous prescription medication for mental "disease?"

2. Your Drug May Be Your Problem: How and Why to Stop Taking Psychiatric Medications by Peter R. Breggin MD and David Cohen Ph. D.: This book was updated in 07 or 04 but is an excellent book for those who have been put on drugs for mental disease and the side effects are worse than the actual mental disorder. Most people who try to get off their prescriptions don't know how and that messes them up. This book shows you how. The Author also has a website and you can find help on Youtube from other individuals who have and are going through the same process.

3. Rethinking Madness by Paris Williams Ph D: This book shows you the evidence of how dangerous and unbeneficial prescription drugs and the psychiatric process can be. It basically shows that for most people who are not put on prescription drugs that they fair much better than the victims who are put on them.

This is the last time I will post anymore info but I hope this has been of help to you. I think people should be more informed about the psychiatric business and what their mental help options are before they make a descission. Just educate yourself and read. Dr. Viktor E. Frankl in his book, Man's Search for Meaning, discussed how people could find therapy just by reading. Give that a try first atleast.

Hey, just thought if anyone who is reading and thinking about seeking psychological that they should first check out some books first. Yes, before you seek mental help from the professionals you should read these books first before you loose 10 years of your life on prescription drugs that will only make you obese, less active, a target for employers who don't want to hire mental illness patients on drugs, and more of a reck then you were before but still put yourself through the misery of prescription drugs because "the doctor must be right." Right?
1. The Art of Living by Epictetus (classical greek advice on living the good life)
2. The Spiritual Gift of Madness: the failure of psychiatry and the Rise of the Mad Pride Movement by Seth Farber, Ph. D.
3. Rethinking Madness by Paris Williams, Ph. D.
4. The Art of Worldly Wisdom by Baltasar Gracian
5. Man's Search for Meaning by Dr. Viktor E. Frankl

I wish I had been directed to these books earlier but maybe they can be of use to you. Your not crazy! Life for most is hard. Start making lemonade out of the lemon of life.

I did not feel that this physician was trust worthy. I was applying for a job with the state of Tennessee and had to take the Minnesota multiphasic with this office plus an interview with mr. Anchor. When I was interviewed Mr. Anchor did not tell me that I had passed the exam. I would find out that I passed the exam 5 or 6 years latter when I personally requested my test results through the state. He did not pass my interview. I remember the interview being odd. Mr. Anchor came into the room with his fist clinched like he was mad at something. Maybe my passing test results were not satisfactory to him. He asked me questions like what I believed in. I said I believed in God. He did not seem pleased with that answer either. Most psychologist seem to have a disdane for the religious which is one of our constitutional rights by the way. He also asked me personal questions which he did not seem to believe my answers. Personally, I think state politics got involved or Mr. Anchor is like most psychologist who only find people sane in their own psychological image. In other words, he is a psyc who plays god. Anyway, I did not get the job. This disappoints me in the Tennessee state system because I know off other state employees who did not pass the Minnasota exam but still got the job working for the state carrying a badge and a gun! My suggestion is that you request another doctor to give you the Minnesota exam and psycho evaluation. Even if you have to pay for it with your own money. If it does turn out that you do have a problem than maybe you can find real honest and professional help. Me personally I find it hard to trust the American Health system. It seems to be more about money and politics than actually care for those who need help.
