I have been under Dr. Shoemaker's care for a year now. I have idiopathic angiodema and urticaria, which are chronic.

My medical doctor is a genius, but limited to insurance-approved practices. I couldn't even get my MD to stray from that path offering to pay cash. So, after 4 years of seeing every specialist within 100 miles of Hershey Medical, a friend recommended Dr. Shoemaker.

All the MDs shook their heads and shrugged their shoulders as my blood tests did not yield any allergens, yet several of my body parts were continuously and randomly swollen to grotesque proportions.

I had wondered why the medical doctors were unconcerned with stress and diet even though the reaction was allergic in nature and obviously triggered by stress. I couldn't even get a dialogue going with any of them about stress or diet; such talk was shrugged off as 'not on their list of tests'.

Well, stress and diet were among the first questions asked by Dr. Shoemaker.

Because of her patience and care, I have had but one minor swelling in 10 months, rather than the massive and numerous swellings I had suffered for the years prior to Dr. Shoemaker's care.

I strongly encourage anyone to seek Dr. Shoemaker's help, especially for treatment outside your MD's purview. She's very open and honest about what she can do for you.

She gave me so many lifestyle tips that I could do to combat my fibromyalgia disease and speed up my recovery. Everything she told me made a huge difference, I was able to get off 7 different drugs that had created a lot of side effects. I got an appointment quickly. I've never had to wait too long. I've gone to some places that were very understaffed and I've never had a good experience. This place had a great staff though, and I'll definitely be going back. I never have to worry about them overbooking appointments. They definitely believe in quality over quantity here and it is much appreciated. I have referred many friends and other health professionals to Jessica and they have all had the same experience I had!
