Dr.Retrieve is a very good veterinarian. He's very caring and compassionate. And he doesn't overcharge his clients.

I love the way he cares for my pets and the service he has provided to this community for so many years. The only reason I gave 4 1/2 stars is because he doesn't always make it in on time to the office, and I have sat in the parking lot for 1/2 hour to an hour before finally leaving (more than a few times). And, he doesn't do appointments. However, with that said, he has always been fair in pricing, is straight up about whether to put a pet down (he doesn't suck the money out of you), and he's a good, old-fashioned doc.

I wish I could put negative stars for this vet. We are new to the Kings Mountain area, and took our dog there for the first time during an emergency, because my dog was dying from intestinal problems. We thought about driving to Gastonia, but figured it would take too long to get there, so waited for Dr. Eskeridge to arrive at 9:00, but he didn't arrive until 9:15, all the while my dog was suffering immensely. The other people waiting to see the vet were kind enough to let me talk to him first, and when I told him about my dog being very sick, he told me he was going on vacation in 2 hours, and didn't have to time to deal with him!!!!!!!!!! He would not help my dog, who was DYING. What kind of vet is that? And, sadly my dog did die later that day after going into surgery, and I wonder if he could have been treated earlier, he would have made it :( I WOULD NEVER EVER DARKEN THIS DOORSTEP AGAIN. I hate that I have to drive past this place everyday because it breaks my heart to think of my dog suffering out there, and him not helping. Do NOT take your pets here if you love them!
