I live in Inkom Idaho. I noticed one of my mares was showing slight signs of colic. It was January and the roads were slick and my gate to the road had been plowed/augered in. It was a miracle to even get her to the end of the lane and into a borrowed trailer (mine was snowed under) Thank goodness she was not down and was able to walk. I took her to her regular vet who advised me (after 8 hours) that the only way to save her was to take her to a specialist. I had to take the one that could take me, not who I chose. I did choose Sawtooth Equine and that is also who could take her. When I called them very early in the morning, the receptionist gave me directions (we were within about 5 miles of the Center when I phoned to let them know I was close) she also volunteered to go out onto the hiway and direct me to the right building turn in. The staff there was so team oriented, so cohesive as a team and as we walked her into the building one was taking her temp, one was checking her gums, one was braiding her mane, one was taking her stats - heartrate, etc. Wow! Also very clean and very nice, concerned horse people. I spoke with one of the vets and they told me the scoop. My sister and brother in law went into the tack store to be out of the way. While there the personnel asked where they were from and they were very concerned and already knew about my horse. Imagine that.
My horse stayed there for about 3.5 days and was fine. The first night the vet even stayed in the stall all night with her because he was concerned and wanted to be sure she was comfortable in a new place (truly cared about the whole mental and physical welfare of my beloved friend.... Sequoia). As it turns out... she was okay and ready to go home in a couple of days.

I really do tell everyone about my experience and do recommend Sawtooth Equine Center to anyone who needs or wants superior expertise and a caring vet team.

I was in awe at the level of service I received. They completely surpassed all my expectations and I will absolutely be going back. I am going to refer everyone I know here. I absolutely love this place. I was extremely satisfied and forever indebted to all of them.
