ook my dog Dexie to this vet because of his coughing up foamy saliva. They took rectal temp. and asked us if we wanted to also get an x-ray and blood work done? It would have cost us ANOTHER $150.00 plus the over $146 they already charged us just for getting an rectal temp and a small bottle of Hydrocodone liquid to "ease" him. Another case of misdiagnosing our dog. The vet doesn't know what she is doing. HE HAD KENNEL COUGH,nothing else.Cordova wanted us to pay ANOTHER $25 for a visit after I already paid the for the visit for the SAME thing. They also said it would cost us ANOTHER $150 to run an x-ray and blood work. You would think a licensed vet would know whether my dog has kennel cough or not. Why didn't she know this since he has the EXACT symptoms for it. We thought this was a trick to getting more money from us and called Scenic Hills Veterinarian Clinic and the Scenic Hills vet asked us thorough questions about our dog's symptoms. The vet knew before even taking our dog there that he had KENNEL COUGH. So who is a better vet. One who takes your money and gives you an incorrect diagnosis or another vet that just asks you detailed questions on the phone and tells you that he is going to be OK with just antibiotics because he has KENNEL COUGH? We took him to Scenic Hills and they we're very good and just didn't want our money. They actually DID THEIR JOB AND GAVE OUR DOG A CORRECT DIAGNOSIS. I called Cordova Animal Medical Clinic before I took him to Scenic Hills and just asked them if they could make it right and give us antibiotics. They refused my offer. I also told them that I would file a complaint with the Veterinary Board of Florida and they still refused to make it right. So I did. They won't be in business long because I am about the 5 person that has had THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM WITH MISDIAGNOSING AND ASKING FOR MORE TESTS AND MORE MONEY.

Dr. Ashley and the Staff at Cordova Animal are the most compassionate group of people I have ever met when it comes to taking care of my Pets. I know without a doubt they have given me much more precious time with my Sweet 17 year old Kitty Molly. I switched from another Vet to Cordova Animal and they have been able to handle and care for my Molly so much better than where I was going with her and have improved her quality of life by correcting the medications she was on and giving her a more comprehensive physical without having to sedate her like my previous Vet was doing. I know without a doubt they have prolonged my sweet girl's life and for that I am grateful. I have 4 pets total so I have asked many many questions to the staff and they have never made me feel silly with any of my questions. They are always very friendly and helpful and treat my pets as one of their own. I highly recommend this Veterinary office to anyone looking for kind, caring, compassionate and knowledgeable people to take care of your furry babies.

Very concerned with some of the practices that occur at this clinic. I even considered reporting this establishment to the Veterinarian Medical Board. There is only one vet and she relies way too heavily on her technician staff. Whenever I brought my puppy in for care - the vet never spoke to me and only the technicians would provide me with the results of lab tests, etc. Because the technicians do not have the training, they were never able to answer my questions appropriately. They made many mistakes and acted as if it was my fault they had messed up. Considering how costly veterinarian care is - I would expect to see the veterinarian once in a while. Additionally, the one technician, Karima, can be extremely rude to you if you do not agree with her. Dr. Ashley has the technicians acting like veterinarians - which is very dangerous. The office is also dirty feeling, small, and there is no comfortable place to sit. You basically have to sit on this hard bench. Additionally, if other animals come in while you are waiting - you are crammed next to them - which never made me comfortable since I was unaware of what illnesses these other animals had. I was also very concerned with the amount of knowledge Dr. Ashley possessed. I am aware she has been in practice for over 16 years - however, she seemed to lack very basic knowledge. If your animal has anything more than the common cold - beware. She additionally does not liked to be questioned. Please save yourself the heartache and find you self another vet - one that actually cares about the animals. I am very happy at my new vet and wish I would changed much sooner. I also noticed that I was being grossly overcharged at this establishment. My new vet is a small establishment as well - and it costs 1/3 of the price of Dr. Ashley's services. If you care about your animals as much as I do - you will heed this warning.
