I have been a customer for many years. My insurance changed to UPMC insurance on Jan 1, 2023. The billing is a fiasco. I was billed for over $900 (my deductible) for 1 month of supplies. These charges, I was told are for "usual and customary" charges, meaning UPMC contracted with HCS to allow them to bill this amount. I can buy these products for a fraction of the cost on Amazon or any other number of sites. It is abuse of the consumer and I am NEVER doing business with HCS again. It took WEEKS to get anyone to answer my calls regarding this issue. Stay away from them, they will overcharge you and give you terrible service.

Have had good experiences with our local company on Wilmington Rd. However, the main billing office is awful. If I have a question about my bill ( which is auto pay ) they act like they do not want to be bothered and are very rude. Our local office doesn't have access to billing so they really can't help with that. Would much rather deal with Dee from our office than trying to get answers at the billing office.

Started using a oxygen concentrator on 1/16/15 self pay and on 3/16/15 payment was due so I took the payment to the office and paid it. Three day later I had a Doctors appointment on 3/19/15 and the doctor said I didn't need the oxygen any longer so I called for them to pickup the concentrator and prorate for the three days I used it . Di Hetrick said they don't give refunds. She also said they charge Medicare customers for the full month even if they only use it for a day and also stated that they don't refund Medicare either . I have read all the paper work I received with the unit and there is no refund policy . She said just keep it until 4/17/15 even though I don't need it . I felt she is very unprofessional and rude .
