I have been going to Dr. West and the other wonderful doctors at the Owego Veterinary Hospital in Owego,NY for over ten years. They have never failed to provide excellent service, and explain our options to us honestly. In times of financial stress they have worked hard to find a payment option that suited us mutually, even fixing a stray kitten's broken leg for us at very little cost because they felt we were both doing a good deed for the animal. When they felt my cat, who had suffered an impalement accident involving her underarm, could not be saved at their facility they helped me arrange an emergency admission to Cornell Animal Hospital in Ithaca (40 minutes away). Kitty was admitted in the middle of the night and eventually made a complete recovery, albeit with a paralyzed "arm". They, too, made financial arrangements with us. Now, as our beloved little 9-year old dog is in their hands with a sudden emergency diagnosis of severe diabetes, we have no fear for her because we know with all our hearts (and minds) that the doctors there are doing everything they can for her and are being 100% forthright and honest with us concerning her prognosis. The workers there are dedicated, kind, honest, and clearly engage in ongoing education as evidenced by their willingness to spend extra time discussing technical details and new solutions to our issues with our companions. I will never feel the need to use another vet with these wonderful Friends Of Animals nearby.

I was pretty surprised with how far away this business was from everything. It took me forever to get there and I kept getting lost. I've been other places that left me unattended for quite awhile, but not here. They would never leave me unattended and they always go the extra mile to make me feel cared for. I feel like they go out of their way to accommodate my schedule. I always get the appointment time I want. They are completely committed to helping me as long as it takes to find the best solution. I never have to worry that they'll back out or give up if a solution isn't reached immediately, which has been a problem for me at other places. They were one of the kindest, most caring staff I've ever dealt with. It didn't matter how many times I called with a question or concern, they were always happy to help me.
