Dr. Stuart treated my beloved parakeet, Gloria, for many years before she finally died of old age (she was 13 years old; much longer than expected lifespan of pet parakeet). Very knowledgeable and takes time to explain diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Stuart is one of the few veteriinarians in the area that treats reptiles, and I highly recommend him. He takes the time necessary not only to treat the animal, or to advise on an emergent situation, but will and does take the time to go into detail about ways to improve habitat, husbandry, and health going forward.

You know immediately upon seeing him interact with an animal that although he is not inexpensive on a per visit basis, he is in the profession for the welfare of the animals.

Given the time and attention he gives to each patient to ensure the animal's well being, he is probably one of the least expensive vets on a per visit basis.

Dr. Stuart has provided the best and most outstanding care for my pets. He helped us through a terrible misdiagnosis, made by another vet hospital in my area. We live over 1 hour north of Dr. Stuart’s office, but I know we and others find the travel is absolutely worth it to receive proper care. In our case, the OTHER vets called for thousands of dollars in useless testing and said my ferret would die within weeks, if she did not receive chemotherapy for cancer. I needed a second opinion for something so severe-so I did my research and found his office to be appropriate for exotic pet care. Dr. Stuart put my mind at ease, properly reading and explaining the test results conducted by the other office. He noted that the tests in no way indicated my ferret had cancer. He clearly explained all the medical terminology to me. She just had a very, very bad cold; which he treated and she quickly recovered within days. To me-he saved her life! He is extremely knowledgeable and well versed in all areas of vet medicine-as he happily and concisely answered the many questions I had asked. He also addressed some of her needs that were not brought to my attention by others vets, concerning supplements for her diet and joint health, as she is senior ferret. I live in the Bergen County area of NJ, close to the GWB, and Dr. Stuart is the only vet I recommend to others. I have been to numerous vet facilities in my area, in the past, and have had some very tragic & devastating results. I could only wish he was located closer to me, as he would be the optimal vet for an emergency. Unlike many other facilities, Dr. Stuart is NOT interested in pure financial gain. He is kind, honest and provides proper and necessary care. I TRUST him with all my pets (exotic and common) and will continue to bring them to see him, as he is very thorough and truly cares! The staff is excellent and friendly as well. I wish more Veterinarians could offer the type of professional and courteous service he offers! Dr. Stuart is #1!!!!!

I Highly recommend this hospital and staff. My cat was severely injured by a dog. The vet that I was going to for years would not see me right away. I found myself on the internet trying to find a vet that was open and where was the best place to take my cat. I read that this place had 5 stars and took my cat here. When I got my cat there he was in poor shape. The staff was friendly to me and to my cat. They made sure to go over my options with my cat's treatment. I was worried about the cost. I thought because I was taking him in such bad shape that the cost was going to be insane, but that was not the case for what they suggested doing it seemed very in-line. They presented me with estimates of a few different options. They also informed me that they had a program that I could make payments if needed, Care Credit. I felt for the services my cat received that the prices were actually lower then I had anticipated. They were excellent about calling and giving me status updates about my cat and after 2 days he was returned alive and doing much better. The staff there was great and the care I though was superb compared. Also they had me come right in instead of waiting for an appointment. Now I take Felix there and I am very happy with everything. I liked the fact that I was given a few options that I was allowed to choose. I did pick the more expensive way to go, but in the end I think it was the best choice. Felix purrs and still cuddles in bed with me so it was well worth it. Since then Dr. Stuart suggested pet insurance which I am now signed up for so it is not all out of my pocket, wish my other vet of 3 years would have recommended that.
