I regularly go to this salon. I LOVE my personal stylist there and I am ALWAYS pleased with her. However, Stella has raised her prices several times over the past few years. This makes it difficult for locals, who have voluntarily forgone raises in an effort to help keep local taxes from going up, to afford to frequent the establishment. I have had family members purchase gift certificates for me there for a service (cut and color, pedi, etc.) only to try to use it 2 months later and have to make up the difference in price ($20 or so). I firmly believe that when a business sells a service to someone in a GC form, they should honor that service regardless of if their prices increased. I find this poor business practice and a real dis to the clients. All that being said, I still return because I like my stylist. The rest of my family, however, has starting going elsewhere because the pricing for even a child's haircut is too high ($18).

Myself and my bride's maids came here for my wedding and they did a lovely job! I brought pictures of the look I was going for and they did my hair and make-up to match. I asked for a natural look for my make-up and she really did do it! (I've heard lots of stories about brides asking for a natural look, but still end up leaving looking crazy made-up!). And despite all the hectic scheduling with trying to get 5 girls in and out with hair and nails and make-up, they were really friendly. Yeah Stella's!
