I have been going to Maria since the 1980's when she was on Pratt Street in Hartford. Always a consistent good haircut. I now bring my three daughters as well to see Maria or Rachel and they always walk away happy.

My hair was completely butchered. I asked for natural red highlights and got streaks of bright red/orange. I asked for side bangs, and I got a HUGE CHUNK of hair on the right side of my head cut off. It looks as if I started getting a bob haircut and then changed my mind halfway. I spent close to $200 for this. Ladies, you know how bad hair can ruin your day, and I literally have not left my house since getting my hair done here. Mistakes happen and I understand that, but I am appalled at how they have handled this (or should I say NOT handled this). I called the salon asking to have the charge on my credit card reversed (I should have never payed in the first place but I was in shock) and was told that the owner would call me back - she never did, and nothing has been resolved. I am really upset and embarrassed. Yes, the color can be fixed, but it will take years to grow back my hair. Think twice before going here.

I recently visited Atelier to get my hair colored and styled, Rachel was my stylist. She was fun and funky and listened to my needs. I left happy and beautiful and I will definatly go there again.
