This was my first visit, so I am unable to adequately evaluate the care. I am looking for a place for my husband, however, I am very involved in his care and will make sure things are done to our liking as much as possible.

My Mother was admitted for physical therapy rehabilitation due to hip fracture/surgery. Upon transferring her there and arrival, My mother was a coherent and talking person, after approx. 4 days the nurse practioner complained that my mother was griping and complaining about everything , which she believed showed signs of dementia, and wanted to do a physiological evaluation. I explained that it was my mother's normal demeanor to complain about things because she has always lived a pampered life. My mother called me the other night at 11:45 scared out of her wits because they were going to put her on drugs that she shouldn't take, due to all her other meds that she takes for other conditions. She told me that she was calling while she still had her wits about her and could talk to me because she feared she would no longer be able to communicate with me come tomorrow. Well she was right!! Now they have her on depakote, xanax, and freaking methadone which was not authorized!! My mother for the past 2days has not been able to talk or even feed herself!!! Sounds like they didn't want my mother being able to talk so she couldn't complain!

They were unwilling to seek any sort of advice from anyone else when they didn't have an answer for me. It's shocking how little they seem to care about patients and families. From my experience It appears as if customers are never put first here. The staff is ambivalent. Everything they originally told me they would be able to do for me, they ended up not being able to do. I felt lied to. If I compare them to others in their field, I wouldn't say they're the worst, but they're definitely not the best. I was completely distressed during my appointment. I was unable to relax and ended up having to leave.

My mom was in this facility for 6 months. During this time the center asked for changes in medication which we approved. After being on this medication for a couiple of days she appeared to be over drugged at which time the drugs were supposed to be stopped. We started notcing the same or similar symptoms over the last 3 months. My mom degenerated to the point she could barely talk, showed no emotion and could not walk. We questioned multiple times about the drugs being given and even sent her to the hospital to check for possible stroke. Due to the fact that the staff was showing horrible care for her incontinence at night, we started checking out other nursing homes. At the same time billing started showing up for prescriptions that we had not approved. I took this list to two other nursing homes and both of them looked at the medication list and asked if she was being chemically restrained which she was not supposed to be. We moved her to another facility and within 3 days she was talking, showing emotion, starting to walk again and even eating food!! The place in the last few months has laso become increasingly dirty and there is dust everwhere from construction in progress.

It looked very spacious and residents moved around freely and talked with staff freely, staff showed empathy. each staff that walked by said hello to the residents who were sitting in the waiting area, looking around.

Awful hospitality, putrid smell, from what I saw the patients are neglected and left in a room to watch a fuzzy image television. I noticed on several occasions that the residents try to communicate with the staff and the staff doesn't acknowledge them. It's very sad, my observances of this place. I feel obligated to let people know before making an important decision. Maybe all Health care centers are this way, but I never noticed anyone being friendly or showing empathy to any of the residents. They just did their job with a disgusted face and congregated at the nurses desk and talked about their personal lives.
