My mother-in-law was accepted into the locked unit for respite care. A short stay turned into a few months when my brother-in-law could no longer take care of her. When my husband and I were told she needed a feeding tube because she was quickly declining we decided to have her assessed by an assisted living facility. When the facility accepted her, we asked for her to be released for transfer. The doctor agreed to the release but St. Catherine's called the doctor and talked him out of it. Twice this happened. We were shocked that despite our wishes St. Catherine's was trying to keep her. Finally my brother-in-law just went and checked her out to take her home and never took her back. We were appalled at this breach of ethical behavior and to this day are still disgusted. Shame on you st. Catherine's!

Not at all. They were too arrogant to ask for any assistance, even though they knew it would help
