Nursing staff are very rude and makes total patient care resident feel very unwelcomed every day when resident put on call light for anything the RN's tell the resident that she doesn't belong there and she needs to be in a Subacute facility. Administrator tried evicting resident because staff complain that she has too many dependent needs that is taking too much time from staff attending to the needs of other residents. RN's tell family member that they should not be calling the facility to ask for help for their loved one because she has a staff inside her room with her. Administrator tells family member who is resident's advocate DDM in her medical records that he doesn't have to talk to her during IDT meeting because resident makes her own decisions and is of sound mind. Administrator had police summons to 5150 resident when she refused to be transfer/discharge to ER when she did not have an acute need to leave and go to Emergency Dept of Kaiser just because Administrator and his staff of nurses do not want to continue providing basic LTC custodial care such as trach suctioning; positioning pt in bed and in wheelchair on a regular basis as pt can't sit too long or lay in bed too long in one spot and position from pain between the thigh and buttock area and pt is total patient care and staff do not administer her meds within the time scheduled and neither do they feed pt at the scheduled times and they continue to say that it's difficult and she's not keeping with the agreement of the schedule yet they are not coming to her room to give meds and feed at the designated agreed upon times and she is paralyzed and dependent on staff for everything.. They are blaming anything that goes wrong on this pt as their scape goat and getting away with it because the DON and Administrator believe their staff over the pt, and prefers to please staff over the pt. After pt refused to be evicted the Administrator and DON had their house doctor to remove her CP off her room putting her at higher risks for infection transmissions possible. pt Kaiser physician is being denied to treat her at non-Kaiser facility absent credentialing processed first and meantime house doctor is scaling and reducing and removing as many services and treatments from pt which is wrong and there are legal remedies to be looked at as well. DON denied pt to have a shower stating her reasons were because pt has a trach which is not a good enough reason as pt has been taking showers twice weekly for over 2 years now without incident and RT approved for pt to take regular showers was okay to resume, however, DON refused to allow pt to be given showers and Administrator is saying that the location and size of shower room is too small to bring gurney, oxygen tank, trach machine, ,etc..., with her in the small area which pt does not need any of the above brought to the shower room to take a 15 minute shower no more than she does when playing bingo in the activities room and when receiving visitors outside in the tent area of facility! Pt is feeling itchy a lot since it's been a month going without a shower and CNA's only wipe pt down with body wipes daily which is not the same thing as taking a shower. This is cruel and unusual treatment of a total dependent care resident. RN's and Administrator told pt that they had to dc the sitter services pt had been receiving after pt refused to be evicted stating the reasons had to do with other residents without pt's total pt status and medical needs will want to know where is their sitter to care for them and they are ambulatory and can take their own showers and feed themselves as well with exceptions of a few residents are feeders but do not have the same diagnosis of this pt and decisions should be made based on a case by case basis and not on fear of what if! Administrator told pt that if she didn't allow the transfer/discharge and leave that her lifespan will get shorter and they will not be held liable which is untrue while trying to scare the pt. Police told pt that she was within her rights not to leave since she did not have an acute need to be in the Emergency Dept, and ED of Fremont told pt's relative who contacted ED that pt should not be sent to ED of hospital as a means of waiting for placement to a subacute facility in the future, and pt's insurance will be greatly affected should she come to ED Dept and not need these services and become stuck in the hospital without acute needs will make her ineligible for certain Medicare benefits whenever she does dc hospital eventually and if pt is difficult to find placement will cause a sky rocketing daily bill unnecessary that most pt's can't afford compared to staying at SNF at daily cost until another facility accepts her admission and then she should transfer/discharge only when that happens. CNA's are speaking offensively to pt in the meantime and they are also handling her sensitive skin and body very rough and when pt ask them to stop handling her rough they ignore that she is speaking to them and just continue to handle her rough by tossing her legs up and over and allowing legs to drop and hit bed rails which hurts pt and causes extra pain that didn't have to be.

I spent 3 months in 2000 at Parkview suffering from a major stroke. I was so sick that I barely remember it. However the things that I do remember is the excellent staff that really cared for its patients.
