I would be happy to recommend Lexington. I have seen the negative reviews online, but frankly, they surprise me. My Mother was there for six weeks in spring 2012 and received excellent care. The doctor made her cell phone # available day and night. Sure, occasionally the staff were overloaded, but they were always responsive and caring. The office staff made sure every question and concern I had was addressed. They were a kind and very caring staff. It didn't matter how many times I called with a question or concern, they were always happy to help me. A place like Lexington has so many demands from so many people that it must be hard to keep up, but in this case they did a wonderful job. My Mother has just returned (Nov. 2013) for care there. She hates being out of her own home but went there with confidence and satisfaction. They've been very helpful as we settle her in there for 2-4 weeks.

Not at all, they seemed stuck in the past

Absolutely not!! They never listen to customers complaints and argue with them

Not really, I've never seen them go above and beyond

Not at all. They were too arrogant to ask for any assistance, even though they knew it would help

I would never refer any of my family and friends to go here. If I had know how terrible they were I never would have gone. Whenever I have a question, even if it's very basic, they always make me schedule an appointment, which is extremely frustrating. I've been to one or two places that had a really bad smell. I was worried I would encounter it here too but I didn't notice anything. One of the first things I noticed about this business was how many different areas of the building were handicap-accessible. I have been to other places where I couldn't tell how someone in a wheelchair could even enter, but they really spent a lot of time to accommodate people with all different needs. Just a warning, they do not adhere to the customer is always right policy no matter what the situation is. They never listen to customers complaints and argue with them instead of trying to correct the situation. That's just bad business. The thing I saw here when I visited my mom . I did everything possible for my mom and still she had got a broken knee and was treated very poorly until she choked on food and was sent to palos hospital where she past away 2 days later on 5/28/2011. There is no great nursing home but the 3rd floor of lexington is the worst I have ever seen. They even forgot to feed my mom .

On Thursday 8-23-2012 my Mother was admited to Lexington House for rehab.We were never given a schedule or a meeting for her treatment.She was on oxygen and doing very well when she left Christ Hospital.The service at Lexington was very bad.On Tuesday something happened to her oxygen and she was rushed to Palos Hospital and was in critical condition. Proving neglect is hard but we feel the Lexington was the cause of her problems as they didn't seem to watch her oxygen level.Also they were very rough with her.I would not recomend this place to anyone with a loved one that needs care.She passed away Sunday 09-02-2012
