dirty, smelly, awful place for those beloved residents who deserve so much better.
Food is like dog food, seems like no one really cares at all

Patients are left to sit in filth and waste for hours on end causing infections, rashes, sores, skin breakdown, UTIs, thrush, sepsis . . . This situation exists throughout the facility because neither the administrators nor the managers require the staff to follow the protocols of the facility.

When problems arise, they are not addressed by leadership. You cannot get meetings with them nor do they return phone calls. Most of the staff complain constantly to patients and families that they are understaffed and cannot get to the needs of all of the patients assigned to them. Do not know if understaffing is the problem or if the staff does not attend to the needs of the patients because management does not address issues, makes excuses for the staff's neglect and inappropriate conduct, and therefore the staff knows they can get away with leaving their patients unattended. Either way, it is the patient who suffers.
Private patient information is not protected or respected. I came in one day to find the personal medical information for two other patients laying on my loved ones bed.
The few excellent staff were so out numbered by the incompetent staff that we were not comfortable leaving our loved one in their care.

Could not in good conscious recommend this facility to anyone for their loved one.
Patients are left for hours without being checked, changed or fed. Leadership will quote you protocols such as patients are changed, given mouth care and repositioned every two hours. That may be the protocol they quote when you are considering their facility for your loved one, but be aware it is not at all the reality. We have been there for a month now. We are an involved family that visits often. Our loved one had a stroke and cannot move his right side. He is left unattended for hours and hours at a time. I let it go 4 hours and then I have to go searching for someone to change and reposition him to relieve pressure points, help prevent bed sores and keep him from getting rashes and infections from being left dirty. All I get is "sorry but we are so understaffed that we do not have time", "sorry but we are too busy", "it's not my job", "Sorry, I have a bad back and cannot risk moving him because I might hurt myself". If they do come to change him they NEVER provide mouth care. His lips will be cracked and bleeding and the buildup inside his mouth is disgusting to the point of being unhealthy. One nurse actually suggested I bring him lip care products from home and take care of it myself if I want it done. I would be more than happy to provide this simple comfort and appropriate oral hygiene for my Dad, but I am not medically trained. My Dad is unable to swallow or protect his airways, so I could actually choke him if I do not do it right and allow water to get in his lungs. Given his medical limitations and given he is in a skilled nursing facility, trained medical staff should be providing this care.
No matter how many times you raise the issues, have meetings with "leadership", point out problems . . . Nothing changes or improves. Had a long meeting with " leadership" last week and that very night he was left unchanged and in the same position for 4 hours when I finally went to get someone to help him.
We have had countless issues with tube feeding. They will turn the machine off and forget to turn it back on so he is not getting adequate nutrition. When we mention it, the staff gets mad and "leadership" will not address the issue in a timely manner. Messages left for supervisors and the "leadership" go unreturned.
Upon our initial walk through of the facility they asked us to bring in clothes so they could get him up and dressed every morning. Waste of time to gather his clothes, launder them and take them in. He lays in bed in a thin dirty hospital gown. We have to call and insist that they get him up and dressed.
We have filed grievances with the Greenery on each and every one of these issues so they are well documented. Unfortunately, leadership does not circle back to us with resolutions - all they do is quote us protocols which are then not followed.
I have repeatedly told the staff that my Dad is anemic and runs cold. At home he keeps his thermostat turned high, wears warm heavy clothes year round and uses multiple blankets. We have begged them to keep him warm and covered when we are not there. I cried on Friday when I got there to visit. He was laying in dirty briefs, in a dirty hospital gown, completely uncovered - not even a sheet covering him and he was actually shivering. Imagine how you would feel if this was your Father or Grandfather.
There are a handful of caring and loving nurses who do a super job, but if you do not get one of them your loved one is in trouble.
If you need to consider this facility do not believe the "puffing" and "promises" that you get on Day 1.

I got an appointment quickly. I've never had to wait too long. They aren't known for being that good at what they do in my area, but they aren't known for being terrible either. They should probably work on improving their professional reputation. Their office looked like the cleaning crew may have skipped a week. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left.
