I spent 11 days here for rehab thru PT and OT for a shattered ankle...I was impressed with the personnel in those departments as well as the nursing staff...would not hesitate to go back if needed...only thing I disliked was at that time they had the old time beds that had cranks at the foot to raise or lower...this was about 10 years ago so it may have changed..

I wrote a review today and told how upset I am with the nursing home. I didn't think about it but I'm upset over one doctor there.So I'm writing another review to explain how great the nurses are. I go at different times of the day. I have to say they are really good with my Mother. They are always friendly and try to help me with her. Like one day she would not eat what I had gotten her because she said someone was coming to get her. The nurse just walked up with fast thinking and said well if you go ahead and eat you can spend more time with your friend. She said tbey called and are in traffic. My Mother just said that fine I'm ready to eat now. Another day I was there and she said I need to go to the bathroom bad. I said I will go with you. She said no I have to wait until my friend gets here. Again the nurse came up to Mother and said your friend called and ask me to take you to the bathroom. Well here Mom goes with her just laughing and not paying any attention to me Lol I'm Blessed that the nurses and all the workers there are helpful to me. I feel when I'm late or something I fieel they are good to her.They answer my questions and they work with me well.She won't let them bath her or wash her hair so they told me I can sign her up for a hair cut and wash and style. I did I pray she will let them do it.The bathing I have washed her off in the bathroom and we change her daily. She has a pink shirt she has to have on everyday. I got a new one tonight I hope we can figure this out.I just wanted to go back and say I'm happy with everyone but the doctor who is supposed to be a psychiatrist. I think they all think they are better than anyone. The ones I have meet I don't go to one yet. Lol I know if you go to the reviews on most rhey are not known as being happy. I guess hearing people tell their problems has made them unhappy. They all seem to have a set schedule and it would mess them up to get off of it Lol I like to be a off schedule person. Maybe they would have more fun be happy life is to short. May God Bless the Staff there it takes a special heart to be a care giver you have to have a heart full of Love. I know because I am one and I treat my people just like I would want my parents treated. I can't say that for the one's who took care of my Father. That was a different place. But I'm trusting Jesus Christ he will handle them.So I'm really Thankful for those who are taking care of my Mother. I pray she will be back to normal. My Father's death on Feb 5 2016 she was fine until he died. Then she has went into a deep depression. This is the 4th time since she was 52 years old. The easy way the doctors just say she has dementia. Well if you can get it within 6 weeks. I guess that is it but I don't believe it. I'm not a doctor but I know she had a better memory than me before this so there is know help for me.

I am so disappointed with this place. My mother has been there a little over a week. I check on her everyday My Father died in Feb5 2016 he had been in another nursing home. So I don't trust any of them I'm sorry I feel that way. My Mother will not let them bath her and she has never been like that. She was on a new medication and I told them I believe that is why she is like that. They said they stopped it. I have never been given a medication list or anything I know everywhere I have had my parents they would give me a medication list and tell me their plan of treatment. It's been a week I see know improvement. I just hear she has dementia. I'm not a doctor but I didn't know you could be getting dressed and fixing your own meals and taking your medications and helping with my Father. Then he died Feb 5' 2916 then about a week later she just went down hill .she didn't take her medication she didn't fix her meals she stopped changing her clothes. She was a different woman. The first time she was 52 years old. The doctor and the Lord Jesus got her back to normal. Then when she was 65 she had another break down. Great doctor and Jesus Christ the Greatest Healer she was back to normal. Then when she was, 80 years old same thing great doctor the Great Healer and she was good to go Then my Father died and we are right back at it again. Now I don't think it's dementia but I am not the doctor. If it is she has had it a long time. But I don't understand doctor's not wanting to talk to the family and find out what is going on. I think the doctor's at the nursing homes think they know everything. If you have age you have dementia. Well I have had it all my life I guess I don't know where I'm coming or going. But I rather be humble and admit I don't know nothing than be a know it all. I had to write this maybe they will read it and figure out what is going on since they don't ask anything. As for nursing homes I don't care for any but with know money the insurance controls my parents life. They put you where they want you and put you out when they want to.They don't care if you had to live homeless. I have the best doctor's in the world. Dr.Thakur and Dr Robert in Knoxville they are God sent and they tell you God does the healing and he just has them where they need to be. They are both so humble and full of Love. If they leave They have to take me.I Pray God will Heal my Mother again. I have had a hard time losing my Father. Now I don't want to lose my mother. I wrote a book so maybe if the doctor's read the reviews they might figure out what is going on. My opinion I doubt they read anything they already know to much and are worn out. We will say this if they can work with my Mother and get her back to normal we will give them a new review. It takes a great doctor and the Great Healer Jesus Christ working together to figure my mother out.

MINUS 1 star Rating for unscrupulous management in 2008.

Horrible management. Select individuals among the lower staff may be ok, but under such lack of integrity in the managing "professionals", I wouldn't trust the facility as a whole. Period.

A nightmare situation ensued with me discovering medical mistakes against my mom and then being framed by them (too complicated to explain) in the presence of my family members who had medical authority for her, but no medical background, unlike my husband and I. This family consult with their nursing and social directors for my mom's best interest was a complete and total farce. I was then removed from the HIPPA list and couldn't even find out what my poor mom had for breakfast. (Dietary mistakes were one of their mistakes: feeding a normal salt diet to a patient bordering complete renal failure.)

Perfect name for their facility. Your loved one gets thrown into briars, then off a cliff.
