I have seen this doctor every three months for more than three years. The doctor addresses me by "Mrs." and my last name because he sees it in the file on his way through the door. No one else in the office even knows my name. The doctor answers the 1 or 2 questions that can fit in the remainder of the 10-minute visit after his examination. Then he sticks out his hand to shake mine, signaling that the visit is over. And the practice makes a practice of overbooking appointments, showing no regard for anyone else's time. But, he is technically very competent. That's what keeps me going back. It's certainly not the culture of the practice.

Dr. Henderson took my vision concerns very seriously and suggested a couple of easy tests to confirm my condition. He was extremely thorough and patient during my salvo of questions. Every place I've visited here in Austin makes you feel like they can't wait to get both hands in your wallet before finding out what the real problem is and seemed uncomfortable answering all my questions, but not here. It was well worth my wait to get an appointment with this gentle-genius practitioner. Dr. Henderson has the most state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment I've ever seen- and I've seen a bunch. I felt completely at ease during my appointment here. They went to great lengths to make sure I was completely relaxed and comfortable the entire time and everyone treated me like family. I've told countless people about the high quality of service (unexpected in today's medical world) that you receive from the entire staff at Eye Clinic of Austin and Dr. Henderson himself. You can tell from the start that this man loves helping people with their vision.
