The waiting room here is spacious. I never feel like I have to sit too close to someone or that it is overcrowded. They were very kind and professional, and never made me feel like I was a bad parent even if I disagreed with them on some parenting issues. They knew what a difficult task it was to be a parent, and made sure they encouraged me. The restrooms at this office were spotless. It smelled amazing in there and looked immaculate. I've already told my friends and family about the fantastic experience I had there. Just as a side note, this business is really conveniently located and is close to everything. It is right off and freeway and close to all kinds of shops. I was able to do my shopping for the week right after my appointment.

My son was a patient of this office (Dr. Motley/Dr. Solaro) for quite some time. This was because Dr. Motley was listed as a preferred provider in my insurance network and I wanted to avoid a 45 minute drive to another provider. Fortunately, my son was only seen at this office a few times over the course of 3 years.

The Dr.'s themselves are average; however, the office staff is reprehensibly inadequate and unprofessional. In addition to the lack of professionalism, the office itself is dirty – the lobby toys are a welcomed germ-fest, waiting chairs are stained and worn, and the entire office is in need of a makeover. Personally, if I were a doctor seeing patients, I would take greater pride in the experience of my patients.

Each time I visited, I observed VERY carefully. During all three visits the wait was extremely long (at least 2 hours) and the staff very rude. In fairness, I blame this on the doctors, as well as the office manager. To prove my point, it merely requires a phone call to the office (757) 826-6889. Discerning callers will easily hear the rude demeanor behind the "greeting". I implore you to try it for kicks, and then read on. During a visit some time ago, one of the doctors happened to be selling children’s clothing in the back part of the office (there were girls dresses hanging in the front office within customer view!). Out of curiosity, I asked what the clothes were for and the staff member indicated that the doctor owned (or operated) a boutique and the clothes were a part of her inventory.

My goal is not to damage the reputation of the office, but to express my strong concerns. There is a ‘glaring’ demeanor of low expectations in the administration of quality care and service provided by this office. Hampton Roads and the world deserve better than this!

My last call to the office was the afternoon of June 16, 2008. I asked how I might obtain a copy of my son’s medical records for the purpose of pursuing better service and care (of course, I did not tell the receptionist the latter part). As usual, the staff member was indifferent and rude, which is what I had come to expect from this office.
