He is a great understanding man who listens and helps. I have been going to him for about 5 years and he has really helped me. The only issue is wait time, l don't mind it because it gives me time to reflect.

Dr Jimenez, after many years of treating me, has, in my opinion, irresponsibly changed a very good and effective regiment of medication.
As I indicated to him directly on many occasions, the side effects of some of the more popular medications were extremely
dangerous for me. That being said, I do not believe he has used his best judgement in performing his duties.
With a general lack of communication, and different opinions based upon the "mood" of the office, I question
my proper medical treatment. Dr Jimenez has been good to me, listening to issues I have had in the past with
certain medications, and after a very successful treatment regimen, has decided against the continuation of said solution.
This indicates to me a lack of understanding how to treat the "person" and not just the symptoms.
One appointment he is happy to help, the next it's as if he does not know you. Very discouraging. On top of that,
contact can rarely, if ever, be made with his staff. In the 4 years of seeing him, I have yet to receive one (1) return
phone call.

Yes, they were over an hour late for my appointment
Did this psychiatrist listen to your input and concerns?
Somewhat. But I mostly felt ignored.

I had to reschedule two appointments. Called office days prior- you only get a machine and left a message to cancel appts and I would like to reschedule. I noted time/date I called in my planner. Two weeks later, I receive a call to reschedule and they give me an appointment for a month later. When I arrived for my appt, they said I never called to cancel and would have to pay $70. cash/check only or I would not be seen. I showed the AWFUL receptionist where I had noted time/date I had called in my planner and explained that I must of called or how could they have called me back to reschedule. Her answer, "Pay or find another doctor". I asked to speak to the office manager, who is never available.

My advice, if you can find another doctor that accepts your insurance, do so. If you need to make an appt, cancel appt, or reschedule, go to the office and get written proof of all transactions.

This place has got a racket going and I believe the insistence on cash or check is to keep from reporting all income to IRS. The receptionist there is truly a useless, unkind, ignorant person.

They didn't give me advice that would benefit me at all. They only cared about what would make them the most money. Everything I told them seemed to go in one ear and out the other. I didn't feel like they cared about what I had to say at all. They always discouraged all of my negative behaviors in a respectful way. They always have my best interest in mind. I was very surprised that they didn't want to answer my questions at all. In fact, they just ignored all of my questions. I found the office, but only because I had simple, very clear directions. I wish it had been easier to locate.

The waiting time is unreal, no less than 4 hours. The office is not very efficient when it comes to scheduling appointments.I was able to talk freely during my appointment without worrying about being judged or criticized. They were very supportive and understanding. I haven't seen any coupons or discounts for this provider's office, but I haven't really looked. They never mention anything about promotions when I'm there. The chairs in their waiting room weren't the best but they served their purpose and I couldn't complain. There are'nt very many psychiatrist taking new patients in San Antonio, so you get what you can.....
