Louisa thoron was my oncologist when I was merely 27 years old and just out of surgery and receiving a misdiagnosis from her team in; which she callously and abruptly marched into the room where my father and two sisters were sitting and announced, 'You have an oligodendroglioma, and you have six months to live.' she then walked back out of the room. I was shocked that she didn't even stay in the room to provide further explanation or information. I visited her office in the next few weeks only to be told I had been misdiagnosed. I had an Anaplastic astrocytoma I then began attending her support group, where she would verbally berate me when I asked questions about the tumor and the possibility of regrowth; she would answer back angrily that it would not regrow. Approximately
4 years later, I started to have seizures and finally had a Grand mal seizure. I got a phone call from a doctor stating that my tumor had regrown, that it was more significant than the first, and that they had to schedule surgery to resect the tumor. I think Louisa thoron is one of the most callous and harmful persons in the profession. She needs a lesson in compassion and needs to learn to listen to her patients and give them honor and respect. My experience with her was so damaging I hope that no one has to experience the insensitivity or inhumanity she is capable of in times when a family is experiencing such turmoil and distress. She is despicable.
