I go to Genesis Medical Associates (Dr. Heyl) in West View PA, 15229. I usually see a P.A. On New Year's Day 2017. I had been up the night before having difficulty breathing, and coughing hard as to make me vomit, I refused to go to the E.R. because usually when I do that they look at me like I'm an Alien case in point. I have tinnitus, well it got so very LOUD one day, I was frightened something more may have been wrong so I did go the E.R. BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!!! And they actually had the nerve to test me for a battery of illegal drugs as though they couldn't believe me and I was on a wild trip or something. Well getting back to Dr. Heyl my husband called the office in West View early on New Year's Day we knew it would be closed but maybe we could speak to the MD on call. My husband was told that it was Dr. Heyl, well I felt a bit of relief, but that was short lived when til this day 01/03/2017. Dr. Heyl nor anyone from his office has called back. I have been using the inhaler his P.A. gave me but still wheezing and having trouble breathing. You know I'm glad this happened Dr. Heyl has made my decision so much easier, leaving this practice won't feel so bad now. Good luck to all the others that decide to stay and continue to give this practice wonderful reviews. Have a blessed New Year!

I've been a patient here since I was a baby, and the doctors are wonderful. However the reception staff and some of the aides have been terribly rude at times and it's made me question my decision to return. The recent schedule changes- closing on Fridays, reserving the afternoon schedule for same-day appointments only- have also made it difficult to make an appointment as I work in the morning/early afternoon and can't miss work.

I'm a young woman in her mid-twenties and I have been going to Dr. Heyl since I can remember. I have never had a bad experience and would always reccomend Dr. Heyl and his practice to anyone looking for an experienced yet caring doctor. He's helped me through many health issues and he genuinely cares for his patients. I'll be forever thankful that my family chose him for our care since I was a child.

Also, the staff is awesome. They are the kindest people on this earth and really care for you. I appreciate all that this office does. Yes, I do wait often for an appointment, but they always let me know and give me that courtesy. Thank you Dr Heyl & Schoenthal!

Absolutely! They aren't arrogant at all and are more than willing to pursue advice when necessary
