I have been a patient of Dr. Shanis for several years now. I came to Dr. Shanis as a 50 year woman with hormonal issues and an autoimmune disorder. I had many symptoms that baffled my rheumatologist and primary doctors. She took the time to listen and get tests necessary to figure out what medicines would help me feel better. With an autoimmune disorder and being a woman over 50, I am a complicated case. I'm so glad I found Dr. Shanis. She really listens to my concerns.

No, they close exactly on schedule despite any circumstances
Does this provider ever overbook appointments here?
All the time! the waiting rooms are always packed and It seems as if they are more concerned about quantity over quality
Did they follow up with you after your appointment?
No. I still haven't talked to them.
Did this provider show attention to detail?
Definitely not. They were unaware of my situation, even though they had my information
Did you leave the office feeling satisfied with your visit?
No, I left with more problems than I came with!

I spent some time going between doctors before finding Dr Bonnie Shanis, and with her help, finally determined the right treatment plan for me. I have been seeing Dr Shanis for about 6 years now and have been very happy with the level of care and concern she has shown me. Never a wait to see her and always returns calls immediately. I recommend her to anyone who is seeking a knowledgeable and expereinced Endocrinologist.

No, I don't think they appreciate my loyalty

All the time. They accuse me of making problems up

Yes, there is a definite trend of overbooking here

Dr. only cared about what would make them the most money.
I was not surprised to read the negative reviews. It was written exactly as I could write. Money, money, money. Very dirty dusty office with bad old smells. Looks like you are in the century back. No service to remind the appointment date and time and then charge for cancellation without reminder or late confirmation. My first such bad experience.

Dr. Shanis is very thorough, takes notes during my visit, and never rushes my appointment. She comes in earlier than usual to accomodate my work schedule, and most importantly, she listens carefully and really hears me. Her expertise in her field, along with a carefully prescribed treatment plan, has greatly improved my quality of life. She is a healthcare professional with a heart.

Whenever I make an appointment, I'm always confident that they're going to be ready for me at my scheduled time. At other places I've been to, it's always bothered me when they postpone my appointment, but they've never done that here. They always take the time to listen to me. I know they really care about me and what I have to say. I was worried that they were going to wear an obnoxious cologne, because I've dealt with that at other places, but they didn't even wear cologne. It was fantastic to be able to breathe freely the entire time. They seemed to know what they were talking about most of the time, but I still wasn't very comfortable. I never have to worry about them overbooking appointments. They definitely believe in quality over quantity here and it is much appreciated.
