I starting going to Dr. Gearhart around 20 years ago and have been quite pleased. He insists on annual physicals for the benefit of the patient. He treats quite a variety of conditions but refers patients out when necessary. He was with an HMO for a few months but since they penalize the doctors for making outside referals, he had to quit because he put the care of his patients ahead of his financial gain. He also left Warren Clinic because as I understand they expect a doctor to see a certain number of patients per hour but Dr. Gearhart gives individualized attention. I have never felt like he has railroaded me thru the visit without listening to all of my concerns. However, do to that individualized attention, he sometimes does get behind so you might have a 30 minute to 1 hour wait from time to time. I would suggest calling first to make sure he is running on time. He sees patients all day long and then returns patients calls and gives lab results from 7 to 9PM. Helping patients is his life.
