My visit with Dr. Chitkara was a long one, but unfortunately didn't include him throughout most of it. I showed up for my son's appointment for his 2 year check up about 10 minutes early. I didn't even see Dr. Chitkara until almost noon. I was very close to walking out when he finally came through the door.

Once he was in the office, he informed me that he doesn't do vaccinations on patients that are on medicaid or any form of medicaid. He said that he just doesn't want to bother with the program in order to provide the vaccinations, but that I should take my toddler to the health department.

During the exam, he didn't ask many questions about my toddler and his abilities to do certain things. My last pediatrician (which I had to give up do to a move) was very thorough and tested my kids' reflexes and asked many questions regarding their development. I think I'll continue to look for another pediatrician to take care of my children.
