I took my daughter to see Dr. Chitkara when she was beginning to come down with something and he told me she was fine. I took her back two days later and he acted mad that I "let her get this bad" before bringing her in. I took her back four days later because she had been on a strong antibiotic for those four days and was still acting very ill and can begun to act catatonic and listless and I was worried about her. He told me it was my fault for feeding her McDonald's the week before when my other daughter was hospitalized for complications of her leukemia. He seriously lectured me for well over five minutes saying some borderline racial things and told me that "potatoes are cheap, just give her a potato" and "letting her go hungry is better than feeding her that junk." While I am not a doctor, I am an educated person who graduated cum laude from a respected university. He talked to me like I was an idiot who did not care about my child's health. I ended up having to take my daughter to Dayton Children's a few hours later after our appointment with Dr. Chitkara where she was given a bunch of fluids for dehydration and they planned to admit her. The doctors there changed her antibiotic and she was significantly better two days later. Unless you want to be subjected to rants about the evils of us Americans eating fast food and "this is why you all die when you are 56" and the like, do yourself a favor and choose a different pediatrician. I now drive all the way to Huber Heights rather than return to this man.

You would expect a pediatrician to be kid friendly, but to my surprise they were cold and not friendly at all. They made no effort to make my child feel welcome. Front desk staff is completely unprofessional and rude. NEVER call and ask for your child's records. They become hostile. This doctors office is a true reflection of the filth that is Springfield, Ohio.
