Poor ENT practice, expensive allergy treatment
I've been to 4 ENT's through the years. Of the 4, one particular doctor in this practice was the worst. I've had a chronic problem for the last 4 years and came to this ENT. I'd been on 3 rounds of antibiotics. The Dr. C did not even look in my nose and proposed another round of antibiotics! What kind of ENT doesn't look in your nose?!?! The good news is, I found a VERY good ENT in Chapel hill who looked in my nose with a scope on the first visit, diagnosed the problem (damaged mucosa) and got me back to 100% in 4 weeks. I was unimpressed by Raleigh ENT's bedside manner, their poor ability to diagnose a very simple problem (only needed to look in my nose!), mis-treat with antibiotics after the patient TOLD them emphatically that after 3 rounds of antibiotics they weren't working, and it turns out Raleign ENT is very expensive compared to both my new ENT and my allergist when it comes to allergy shots/treatment. I can't say you should definitely stay away, because there may be some good doctors in the practice, but I can say you should be very cautious when coming into this practice. If you are looking for a good ENT, I recommend you look in Chapel Hill, I had to go to several in Raleigh and didn't find a good one until I went to Chapel Hill. It's worth the 45 minute drive to get a proper diagnosis. Good luck.
