They weren't interested what was going on for me so they asked very few questons.

We just recently moved back to the Charlotte area after being out of state for 2 years. This practice was brand new when we left. I thought I'd try this practice out since it's closer than my usual dermatologist. When I arrived, I filled out all of the necessary paperwork, provided my DL & my insurance card.
I did not feel comfortable putting my SS# on my paperwork. I have never had a practice refuse my insurance card coverage due to the fact that I would not give my SS# to them. They then told me I could be a self pay. My question. You have my insurance card and everything else that is needed. They told me it was their "office policy" to need the SS#.
I have never been to a doctor that refused to use my insurance card just because I refused to give my SS#.
They were glad to turn me away all because of a SS#. I guess their SS#'s are more important than their growing business. I live in Lake Wylie, which is only a few minutes away from their office. I will make sure my friends know how this practice works as far as what's required to see the doctor here. I am scheduled to see my usual doctor tomorrow.

Dr. Helton is very professional & knowledgeable. She seems to be genuinely concerned with the your wellbeing and takes the time to explain your condition to you. It was an awesome experience.

I took my 92 yr old Mom who is a Hospice patient and very fragile to this practice. I made sure the staff knew that she was fragile and may not be able to wait long. We were in the waiting room 45min. and they eventually refused to see her because she did not have her supplemental insurance card. We had her Medicare card, had the account number for her supplemental insurance, the office staff talked on the phone with the insurance provider who confirmed she had coverage but Helton's policy is not see a patient unless they physically have the card. So policy is more important than the patient. I am glad we did not see her.
