New York Eye Care and Dr. Rabin has absurd wait times. I waited slightly over two hours and hadn't gotten any further than filling out the initial paperwork. Apparently they are cohorts with Queens Optical Center who share the same space. A part of the appointment is to be seen by the optometrist before any additional testing and actually getting to see the doctor himself. However, again... over two hours and I hadn't been seen by anyone. I asked a front-desk associate how much longer the wait would be. I was told she would check and she never did. Finally upon complaining I was told I was next to be seen by the optometrist. I asked how much longer would it be to see Dr. Rabin afterwards and was told 2 to 3 hours. A 4 to 5 hour wait time to see any doctor is obnoxiously ridiculous. You could fly across the country in that time. It shows that Dr. Rabin, like many doctors, is nothing more than money hungry and has his staff drastically over book his schedule. Furthermore, the staff seems to lack professionalism, friendliness, and courteousness. Oh and lest I forget, there are signs posted that read, "No food or drinks." However, they don't even have so much as a water cooler/fountain for their patients. Additionally, the wait room is rickety, dated, and unkempt. Go at your own risk!

HORRIBLE OFFICE THEY ARE RUNNING. I called at 6pm and their calls were being transferred to an operating system to take their calls they don't make appointments. They told me to keep calling because the office is open until 7:15. I kept calling and no one from their office was picking up. They finally called me back the next day in the morning. I asked for an appointment they told me their next appointment would be two months from today. I asked possibly to see a different doctor in their office and they stated it will be the same time. I asked her just to see her response should I look for another doctor she stated "yes I think you should". With that being sad I will NOT be coming back. If your office is being run this way I dont want any part in it. Just a check up takes a whole day in their. I've been coming here for years and I don't to eve come back.

They made sure every question I had was answered. They make effort to make me feel respected and attended to. They listen to my questions or concerns.. When comparing them to others I have visited for the same condition, Dr. Rabin rates highly compared to a top-of-the field- opthamologist I had been treated by years ago. They were welcoming and friendly.

They always go above and beyond to help me with anything I need. They never complain about anything, and I know I can always count on them. Everything they told me in the beginning ended up turning out exactly the way they said it would. They were able to provide me everything they promised me. I've never doubted their abilities. Just as a side note, I was very impressed with how conveniently located this business was and how close it was to other shopping centers. It was so easy to find, I didn't have any trouble at all. I got an appointment quickly. I've never had to wait too long. I'm usually somewhat sensitive to the cold, so I was a little worried that their office would be too cold, but it was fine. I was very comfortable the entire time.
