I see a specialist out of state, he recommended that I follow up with my doctor the following week. The doctor who shook my hand AFTER the exam for 15 seconds!! I was told he didn't have any appointments and they have what they call continuity of care and was unable to give me an appt. with any one else! Secretary who decides what care I get! I really like who I saw, what a shame.

Today I met with Jen Gagne in Dr. Schwinn's practice. I am taking the time to write a review, but I usually never do. I feel compelled to share my experience because in today's world of mis-managed care the patient usually ends up feeling like a number and not a name.

I arrived at Dr. Schwinn's office 20 minutes till closing on a Saturday and was greeted cheerfully by a pleasant nurse and receptionist at the desk. I was brought to a room shortly thereafter and was treated kindly by the nurse who took my temp and pressure - there was absolutely no passive agressive "why the heck are you here at 3:40 on a Saturday I want to go home early" attitude. Due to the time of day, I feared I might be rushed through and not listened to due with the healthcare affiliate I was to meet. This is not at all what happened with Ms. Gagne. She spent ample time with me; I felt listened to, respected, thoroughly examined and appropriately treated.

I can wholeheartedly endorse the 3 fantastic women I met at Dr. Schwinn's practice today. Ask for Jen Gagne - she's awesome! :)
