Dr. Jacobs cured a nasty infection that had one of New Jersey's finest dermatologists and several hotshot infectious disease doctors stumped. They couldn't decide if it was a waterborne or land micobacterial infection, and after 2 years of unsuccessful biopsies and prolonged head-scratching, they all agreed that the cure (3 antibiotics for 18 months) was probably worse than the actual infection.

Dr. Jacobs took a look and suggested 4 weeks of Minocin, a mild antibiotic often prescribed for kids' acne. Long story short, it did the trick.

I made 2 visits and spent more time sitting around the waiting room than I should have, so a C+ for the staff, but an A+ for the doc.

Dr. Jacobs is a tremendous dermatologist. He is helping me with an auto immune condition where other dermatologists have failed or misdiagnosed my condition. I would highly recommend him to others. He came highly recommended to me from one of the best rheumatologists in the country.

I've lived in NYC my entire life and have had a multitude of dermatologists. But when a family member was diagnosed with melanoma, I knew I needed to take seriously my regular screening. Several well-respected physicians I know personally and independently recommended me to Dr. Jacobs. His professionalism, attention to detail, and demeanor are indeed excellent. I trust him with my life which is no small thing to say. I was shocked to see a negative review here --it made me wonder if this reviewer could even be talking about the same Doctor as his/her review is the utter opposite of what I have always had at this practice. Indeed, professionalism, organization, kindness (to patients and staff alike) have always been the way of this practice. I've been a patient for roughly a decade. I wouldn't even think of going elsewhere.

I don't understand any of these good reviews. I went to see this doctor and he spent more time on his computer and cell phone than he did spending time with patients... so it is no wonder they are constantly running behind. They biopsied things that I did not agree to and charged me over a thousand dollars!!! My door was left open and I could hear him screaming at and disrespecting his staff. Save your time and your wallet and DO NOT see this Doctor
