This Doctor just lost his medical license so you should not have him listed here. I went to him for many years because his sessions were only 10 mins, casual conversations every 3 months and I left with necessary medications. I have never been subjected to a ruder, more obtrusive, dishonest staff in all my years of seeing different types of doctors. They ruled the office in a dominating way as if they were a collection agency and failed to do the minimum submission of insurance claims they are required by law. At times my bill was $400 when I had actually overpaid and was never given an itemized bill.

Dr. Satloff's receptionist was wonderful, my wait time was about 5 minutes which included filling out medical paperwork. Dr. Satloff himself was very friendly and welcoming. His office is quiet and warm. I would recommend him to any Veteran who doesn't want to use the VA. He was a combat medic in Vietnam and related well to my diagnosis. I couldn't be any happier to have him as my psychiatrist!

The staff is not friendly and can be downright rude. The appointments are short and expensive. The doctor is unreachable without an appointment, which costs a lot of money. Questions without an appointment will be answered by the staff, who are extremely unpleasant and uncaring. I cringe when I have to call them with any questions or to get a prescription refill. A patient is not able to speak with Dr. Satloff without going through the office staff. If you call and request to speak with the doctor they will not put you through and say if you want to talk to the doctor you can make an appointment. I have made the doctor aware of this and he was unconcerned.
Appointments are short and you certainly have to be proactive in your treatment. The office was easy enough to find. If I had another option, I would never go back to this office or the doctor again.

I thought he cared, but it turned out he was all about the dollars. He's 77 and I think he's only concerned with piling up a load of cash before he retires (and he should). He ripped me off over 100 dollars. Beware. He'll get you too.

They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Their staff is not very friendly but still professional. I felt like my needs were mostly met, but they didn't make any extra effort. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. My biggest problem is they DO NOT call you to remind you of appointments, but pressure you into booking them months in advance.

Their office was one of the quietest, most peaceful places I've ever visited. I was able to relax very easily. Let me just say that this business is in one of the safest areas around . Whenever I called with a question or concern, the staff made me feel stupid for calling. I avoided calling because I didn't want to feel stupid. One thing I really didn’t like, was how much they rushed my appointment. It didn’t feel like they were really listening to me. They never call for an appointment reminder which is unacceptable for a doctor who is treating patients with mental disease and may be prone to forgetting. If you miss an appointment you will be charged the full amount, not the amount that they would receive from the insurance company. Expect appointments to last only 5- 10 minutes and only be about meds. There is no e-mail patient - doctor communication available and Dr Satoff will not discuss any billing questions with patients. My daughter and I will be looking for a more patient oriented doctor.
