WARNING ! WARNING!. My experience, I took my 2 year old and 4 year old to Suburban Pediatrics medical provider. It is a normal “well being routine” check up. The staff took all the check up routines and they said everything was good. After couple of months, a surprise bill was waiting for me. They have charged me $115 and I called them they told me that ONE OF THE ROUTINE checkup was not covered by my Insurance. I know, my Insurance covers the Well Being routine check ups and I called the Insurance and they told me the “hearing test” was not covered and it was not part of the routine check. The Insurance representative told me that,

•They should have let me know OR asked my permission before the perform this test if it is not routine test.
•Before performing the test they should have asked me to check with the Insurance Provider to see whether it is covered or not.
•When I called for an appointment they should have informed me that they are going to perform these tests and this may or may nor be covered by the Insurance.

I called the medical provider, the argument went on circle.

Please be prepared when you visit.
