I love him!. He has a dry sense of humor. Answers all my questions and does a very thorough job! He is also very reasonable! I have referred several people and they also like him very much!

Not a good dentist...Im a quiet but very polite and respectful petson,I have medicaid (this should not be a reason to treat people with disrespect,no compassion and shitty dental work) and apparently this guy thinks it is.I had a few resin fillings done in the front there all rough and yellow looking they should be white or pretty close and smooth, and within a week of them being done one was spliting and coming apart I also mentioned that there was sensitivity so he checked the x-ray and said it was fine so he put different filling in it and its still sensitive almost hurts..probably needs a root canal..but Im sure not going back to him! Also the office and dental equipment is incredibly outdated and unproffesional the receptionist is nice but hes just not very friendly and I wouldnt mind that if the dental work was good but man its far from it..Its very unfortunate but its difficult to find providers that accept people that have state insurance

The questions you ask here really do not illicit the true picture of this dentist and his staff. Thank goodness for the chance to type in a response!

When I walked into Dr. Kusik's office (which is a lightly remodeled old bank building) my presence was coldly acknowledged by his receptionist. I filled out a few forms and was shown to an exam room. When Dr. Kusik came in to see me, he never introduced himself, looked me in the eye, or made any effort to get to know me before he began to shove x-ray forms into my mouth. He asked if I had forwarded previous x-rays to him. I had not because I asked the receptionist over the phone while making the appointment if I should. Her response was, "No, it isn't necessary." While working on my broken tooth Dr. Kusik was going back and forth between me and another patient. Because he just did not seem very professional I did purposely watch to make sure he changed his gloves each time he returned to me. He did. I wish he would have explained what he was doing as he worked as I had never had a broken tooth before and was concerned about the amount of blood being generated. His dental assistant was the receptionist so she was going between the exam rooms and her desk the entire time. Sanitary? Hmmm. I don't think so. I could not tell if she was changing her gloves. I needed to tell Dr. Kusik at least four times the crown didn't seem to be fitting correctly because I could not close my mouth evenly as I did before. This crown (on an upper right molar) was hitting the bottom teeth on the right leaving a gap between the upper/bottom teeth on the left side. Dr. Kusik said he could not see anything like I was describing and stopped trying to refit the crown. Also, the crown he used was picked out of a sectioned box much like the box a nail tech would use to pick out the correct size nail tips. This appliance definitely was not a customized crown; it also was not a porcelain crown because Title 19 does not cover anything else.

As I was leaving, I asked what the crown on the tray was from. He said it was one he tried first but was too large. He then put it in a clear container that held a solution (antiseptic?) and I pray he wasn't planning on reusing it. That just doesn't seem right. Maybe it is...I don't now. Dr. Kusik said I should ask my previous dentist to forward my complete set of recent x-rays to him so he could see if anything else was going on that he should take care of. My thoughts were, "No, I don't think that will happen." I already knew I had a small cavity that needed filling and a very small chipped tooth that was also bothering me but told him I didn't have time to get that repaired. The truth is I didn't want him working on any more of my teeth. At this time 11 hours since the crown was placed, my gums are pounding with pain. Is this typical? I don't know since Dr. Kusik didn't mention this would happen. I'll have to check that out on the Internet.

I have never felt more like a second class citizen in all my life. Since this is the first (and hopefully short-lived) time on Title 19, I pray that I obtain employment very, very soon and I can move to employer/private pay Health/Dental insurance as soon as possible. What a degrading experience. I sincerely hope that any medical providers who read this review think twice about how they treat patients who are on Title 19.

The Pros regarding this visit - I was able to get an appointment within two days. The service was free which was extremely helpful as I am unemployed.

The Cons - All listed above.
