I was here for my filling an inlay . Staff were good . Dr Anoushfar treated me OK. I am very happy with this office.

She did a great job on my cleaning appt. she spent so much time explaining about treatment plan and Invisalign . Overall, It was a great experience.

Moby is right on - after 3 years+ of going seeing Anoushfar, I finally went to another dentist at my wife's urging. Having my appointment rescheduled for the third time was the final straw. Over the last several visits with Anoushfar, I was being recommended to get an inlay on tooth 14 (or something). I had already had one inlay done by her on the other side.

We looked at the reviews and saw how many people kept saying that she recommends inlays at an expensive cost. When I finally went to my new dentist, I showed her the order for the #14 inlay, and after looking carefully again in my mouth and at the xrays, she exclaimed, 'This is criminal!' The new dentist didn't see any reason whatsoever to put an inlay on top of the fillings that have been serving me well for the last 20 years.

I'm sad that one of my other teeth was ground to a nub and that I shelled out over $1000 for a porcelin inlay (that is not permanent in itself) that I probably never needed in the first place. I'd go back to get my records to show to my new dentist in order to determine whether the first inlay was really necessary, but Anoushfar wants me to shell out another $40 for the records (industry standard of $25 to get records), and I really don't want to put any more money there.

So please, don't go here, and if you do, stop and find someone else. Really.

This complaint involves the following doctors and offices. Dr. Sherry Anoushfar, DDS,PC in 1984 Isaac Newton Square W Suite 201,Reston VA 20190 (703)318-8133,Fax (703) 318-8895, and Dr.Mohsen Izadi,DDS in 133 East Maple Ave. Suite 206 Vienna, VA 22180, (703)319-9880 Fax (703)319-9885. , i am an office manager for a dental office by profession and i have been working in the dental field over 8 years, i was hired by Dr.Sherry Anoushfar to be her front desk manager about 2 weeks ago, i had no prior HMO experience before coming to this office, but still realized that something was not right when i took a look at all her patient ledgers, she and her husband have been commiting Insurance fraud for over 10 years with no complaints from the patient because they don't know any better, therefore she has not been caught, Today i had the courage to confront her about it and she said " I have been doing this for years and its not illegal, and you're incompetent therefore you wouldn't have worked out anyways"...She belittled me in her outrage and i threatened her by reporting her to the Insurance Bureau for her illegal and unethical practices...She also threatened me that she would call the police for threatening her, i told her i wasn't doing anything illegal and to go ahead...I am very concerned about all those patients she has literally stolen money from them without them knowing it, this is not just a few patients she's done this too, it's almost all of them. Restitutions need to be made to ALL these patients that have paid for "upgrades" that are not in contract with either the ppo plans or HMO plans that she's in network with. She has added special "codes" in her computer software Dentrix that she adds for every crown or bridge or inlay and onlay...she has a code for "Captek Fee" D2731,"Lab Fee" D2740.10,"oral/FAcial Photo Imaging" D0350 and many more, that she charges all patients telling them it's an upgrade to a better crown or something that was "needed" for diagnosis, she will charge them a range of $200-$400 in these codes, she told me that for an HMO or any PPO insurance to be worth taking she has to add these codes or she wouldn't get paid. I would like for a full blown investigation to take place on both of these offices, not only asking her for a few charts to be pulled and observed...but to have a FULL investigation on ALL of her patients, because she and him can easily cover up a few patients ledgers and charts for you to view. I truely believe These doctors are very unethical, and something needs to be done. I will do everything in my power to make sure those patients get back what was stolen from them.
