I was a happy patient for many years. I had a routine check-up at which no problems were found. Six months later when I came for the next routine check-up, I was told I needed $10,000 worth of treatment!!! and immediately presented with a credit application so that if I had difficulty coming up with the money, it would be between me and the credit company. This destroyed my confidence in the dentist and I never went back.
