I took my four year daughter to her first dentist appt with Greenville Pediatric Dentistry today. I knew nothing about them prior to making the appt except that they were in our network. The receptionist greeted us with a smile and my daughter was entertained by looking at the fish tank, watching Shrek, and checking out the murals on the walls in the waiting room while I filled out the paperwork. The hygenist promptly called us back and asked my permission to take an x-ray. I agreed, of course. Holding the hygenists hand and about half a second later, my daughter reappeared to eagerly show me the cool photograph of her teeth which was hers to keep. Gee - I wonder what she will take to show and tell next week? I digress..the very sweet hygenist then asked my daughter if she would like to "take a ride in her chair" and she quickly obliged so she could resume watching Shrek on the TV above the special chair. The hygenist "tickled" her teeth and "vacuumed" the orange creme flavored floride from my daughters mouth. It was adorable to watch - she giggled and smiled the entire time. Enter jolly Dr. McNutt...he asked her to open her mouth like an "alligator" so he could check her teeth. All the while he was joking and chatting with us, making us feel comfortable. They spent a lot of time talking with us afterwards about the importance of keeping our teeth clean and healthy. My daughters teeth checked out clean, but she also understood the message that we did not want the "sugar bugs" to eat away at her teeth. Additionally,
I was present and beyond aware of everything that was going on during every second of our visit. They literally talked us through every step of the visit including the xray, the cleaning and the exam. Before we left, the hygenist took a digital photo of my daughter (who was still grinning ear to ear) in the special chair, uploaded it the computer, and then presented her with a personalized award certificate signed by Dr. McNutt as well as a goodie bag filled with stickers, a coloring sheet, and a new toothbrush. With this being our first visit to the dentist, I was really worried about how things would go and I have to say I am so HAPPY we chose this dentist! Everything was perfect from the childrens oriented atmosphere and friendly staff to the prompt scheduling and service!
To sum it up, I was very impressed with every aspect of Greenville Pediatric Dentistry and would highly recommend them to anyone!!!! A++++

Dr. Mcnutt was ok but I guess they make it a practice to run tests and xrays and not make the parent aware of what's being done to their children. My primary dentist suggested I take my son to a ped's dentist because my son has acute stress disorder to dentists but needed work done. I chose Mcnutt, they saw my son and took duplicate xrays of what was sent from our dentist,(becuase THEY couldn't tell left from right!) said they would do it free of charge and then billed my insurance. Since he'd had some less than 3 months earlier ins didn't cover it. They really thought I would pay it! then they did a xray that I knew nothing about SURPRISE insurance didn't cover that either. Then when I asked them to send the xrays to my primary they didn't send them all, THEN becuase I told them they'd have to write off the duplicate xray cause I wasn't paying for it they discharged my son from the practice without letting me know, so I called to see when they'd be scheduling his work an she says he's inactive at my request. WTF!?!?!?! I guess if you request to know what's bein done to your child you're requesting to no longer be seen.
