The staff is always friendly, especially the dental assistants. However, Dr. Merrill wanted to replace some older fillings I had that he said were "failing". I had to pain prior to the fillings being replaced. However, a root canal, crown and 2 antibiotics later, I am still in pain. My teeth have shifted a bit too since and flossing gets caught on the rough fillings that were just put in. I will miss the polite staff, but have to change to a different office after this unfortunate experience.

I was referred to Dr. Merrill by my neighbor. At the time I had been looking for a new dentist. So I thought to give him a try and he's the best dentist I have ever gone to. He listens attentively to my concerns, explains all my options completely and is very thorough. His office staff and hygienists are gentle and kind and always smile. I needed a new crown and it took only one office visit since he makes them right there instead of outsourcing to a dental lab and my crown is a perfect fit. My new bridge was outsourced to a dental lab and that came back with a super fit too. I feel Dr. Merrill is conservative with my dental care, only repairing / replacing what is absolutely needed. If you live in the southern Lorain county area or very western part of Medina county, his is worth the drive to New London.

The staff is so friendly and very patient. I have severe anxiety and they were very reassuring and patient with me. They are very polite and always greet you by your first name. They make you feel like a person, rather than just a number. I wish more doctors would act this way.

My daughter called me on a weekend about my granddaughter, 7 yrs. old, who had a tooth ache asking me what to do. I told her to call Dr. Merrill which she did. She was not a patient of his office but he still called her back and handled the call. A few days later I took my granddaughter to the office to get the tooth pulled. Dr. Merrill & all his staff were very concerned on how she was doing. When she went back to have the tooth taken care of Dr. Merrill explained what he was going to be doing and was very compassionate with her. I will recommend this office to anyone. Great job Dr. Merrill & staff!!

The restrooms at this provider's office were clean and well-maintained. You could tell that they cleaned them regularly. I loved that they let me rinse my mouth every few minutes during my procedure. It's always uncomfortable trying to sit through an entire procedure without being able to rinse or relax your jaw for a minute. They were by far one of the best I've ever seen in their field. It was obvious that they've been exceeding their clients' expectations for many years. They made the extra effort to make sure every question and concern I had was addressed.

Whenever I make an appointment, I'm always confident that they're going to be ready for me at my scheduled time. At other places I've been to, it's always bothered me when they postpone my appointment, but they've never done that here. They never left me for an extended period of time and I never felt ignored. They were easy to reach in an emergency. When I called they answered right away and I was so relieved to hear a friendly voice. They are always prepared for my appointment and remember everything about me. I am always so impressed with how quickly my calls are answered here. I am never put on hold for a long time and love knowing that if I have a quick question I won't have to wait a half hour through terrible music to get it answered.
