I had THE most unprofessional experience at Dr. Cesario's office. The hygienist was obviously inexperienced, which didn't bother me at first because I thought...if she's trained well, she'll do fine - you gotta start somewhere. But, the longer I sat in her chair the more I wanted it to be over FAST. She wasn't detail oriented - she hit the xray machine against my face three times. Then, she didn't clean my teeth with any type of order - skipping teeth and then going back to try to remember which ones she hadn't done. She was extremely rough when flossing, ramming the floss down in between my teeth. She kept the light shining in my eyes, so I kept my eyes closed quite a bit. When she wanted me to open my mouth, instead of saying "open" she tapped on my lips with her tools! Then she used extremely cold water on my teeth and didn't respond to non-verbal cues that I was uncomfortable. I asked her to adjust the water temperature and she got an attitude with me! Then she left me in the chair with no explanation for about 10 minutes. I thought she'd gone to get some warm water, but she came back with the "office manager" who is also the dentist's wife, who proceeded to tell me they wouldn't be scheduling me for a follow up. Really?! I had already decided that if I WERE to come back, it would be to see a different hygienist, but Mrs Cesario didn't even ask me if I was ok, for my "side" of the story, or apologize for my bad experience! I said to her - that's ok and smiled. And she said with attitude "I thought it would be" and stormed off. Wow! I don't know...maybe the hygienist was their daughter? She obviously was having a bad morning and lied to her office manager but if this is the way they handle things...gosh! It was a strange and unprofessional experience and I would HIGHLY recommend you avoid this dental office.
