I am not one to post a review, but felt that this matter needed to be posted. First of all, we are new to the area and basically chose this office for our children because of how convenient it is for us. My husband made the appointment for our sons to have a cleaning with no problem, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I was the one to take my sons to their appointment, and was greeted with kind and helpful faces. No problem there! My first visual impression of this office was that it was clean and creatively decorated. After a short wait, they took the boys back and cleaned their teeth. I was called back shortly after where I was told they did great, but one of my sons had a "tiny" cavity that needed to be filled (this would have been his second small cavity) So at the front desk, where I went to make his appointment to have his "tiny" cavity filled, they asked me to sign a consent form for him to be gassed. I asked why he would need to be gassed for a "tiny" filling, and they said that that is what they do. And that is fine if that is what they do, because all Dr.'s do things differently, but I worked in a pediatric dental office as an assistant and NEVER witnessed the Dr. gassing any patients with "tiny" fillings unless they KNEW of the patient having major anxieties in the chair. First they would do regular treatment. Both of my boys have always done well in the dental chair (as they are familiar with dentistry... my brother is a dentist in Shreveport where we moved from and like I said, I was an assistant for 4 years) and we were not concerned about them having any anxiety. I told them I would prefer him not be "gassed" for a "tiny" filling, and they disputed my request... then called for the doctor to speak to me. I was very polite about it, but explained to her the same request, where she also disputed me and was a little rude about it. I said I would sign the form "In the event he NEEDED it". I left with an uneasy feeling... knowing that I didn't want to continue with this doctor. A few weeks later I made an unexpected trip back home to Shreveport, where I let my brother take a look and x-ray him. He showed me his x-rays and there was NO CAVITY AT ALL!!!! We tried to find a "tiny" cavity.... but couldn't! We also had problems with them over billing us, but my husband had to call and take care of it. The billing staff admitted that they were wrong. Please be careful with this doctor, and take this to heart!

Definitely! It was one of the best looking offices I've ever seen!

I usually don't do reviews, but this one I had to do. This place is very unprofessional and rude. They are unwilling to resolve issues and talk to people respectfully. I was referred here by my general dentist, because my son was having a problem with his tooth. I made an appointment for a consultation and they scheduled me for a new patient visit. I told them when I made the appointment and two other times while I was there, that I was there to get my son's tooth x-rayed and looked at by the dentist. They did what they wanted to do; a new patient exam. They quickly rushed us out of there, because they wanted to close up to go to lunch. We should have stayed there and waited to speak to the dentist, but my husband decided to leave and call back later that day. He spoke with Dana and he explained the whole situation to her and that he felt we should only pay for the consultation and the xray of the tooth. She said they could have entered it wrong and put new patient down, instead. She would talk to the doctor about it and get back with us. Well she never called us back, so two days later we decided to stop payment on the check. The following week we got a call from Linda Yochim. She was rude and argumentative from the start. She would not let my husband speak and explain what happened. She kept on interrupting him and was threatening. He told her he spoke with Dana and that she had told him it could have been their mistake. Linda said that new patient was what they had down, so we had to pay for the whole thing. My husband offered to come in and pay for the consultation,xray on the tooth, and even the fluoride treatment and cleaning, but we didn't feel that it was right for them to charge us for the rest of the xrays. She threatened him again and then hung up. As far as I am concerned, I don't care if Linda has worked there for over 20 years, she should not be dealing with the public at all. She was disrespectful and unwilling to work with us and will probably continue to drive away business with her attitude. Hopefully, we can talk to someone else over there,with manners, and resolve this issue.
